Shorts are the same vintage pants pattern but cut off, and yet a little more taken off the waist. Fabric from @dollsahoy (thank you!) I did cut the pieces out sideways to make these cats right side up-ish 😅

Here are some quick pics of the smalls.  Top left to bottom right: Howl, Pompeii, Eurydice, The Deep, Moon Shadow, V, Evening Star.  It’s all of the ones in this storyline except the tan unoa boy who arrived today.  He’s dumb as a shoe and I love him.  My minis are the best.

Hallbjörn does care for his idiot commander Varekai but that guy's hell bent on doing the most idiotic things ever in the name of honor and obedience. Poor Ballsy nearly had an aneurysm when Varekai eventually joined up with Pazuzu and Stephanus and got promptly pitched against his half-brother Rajko* (“WE FLED YOUR HOME TO AVOID EXACTLY THAT!“ - “but everything else would be treason!“ - “GAAHHH!“) 😓

Sorry for my lack of activity here; I’ve been mostly online on phone lately and the tumblr app is glitchy for me there even at the best of times :/ I’ll be answering comments to previous photosets posted on here later (very overdue I know).

Anyway, this is another one of those dolls I got sent off for face-ups, then never did anything with. He was bought during a super sale at junkyspot some years ago, as I’d seen a few Monos with custom face-ups that looked great, and the deal was too good to pass up. Just the other day I put him in the “magic wig” (he’s now doll #4 sharing it), and he just looked amazing? I’m going for something like this for his wig (I’ll be making him one with bangs for sure, either chin length regular or chin length stepped), and I’m thinking preppy style; navy and dark blue suits, wine red shirts, bow-ties probably. Or possibly something akin to the fashion by Wazigen Shizukuya. I might make one of each and see what looks the best, or he might wear both styles.

Now I need to find him a name oops, and then a character.

I find I care more for the OCs I make directly for my dolls, rather than dolls shelled as pre-existing OCs (the exception being Kess, who’s my all time favourite girl anyway). I think it might be a mixture of the fact that dolls rarely fit my vision for my pre-existing OCs 100%, and that a lot of my OCs are old as balls and far more “perfect” than I’d like. Quite a lot of them are a bit Mary-Sue ish.

Another top from the vintage Barbie pattern. I think I've about decided I don't love this pattern except for the straps. And this yarn was way too bulky for this scale. But I do have a doll who can rock it :3

I can't remember what brand the jogging suit is, but it was a playline doll I thrifted, I believe. Possibly Mattel Teen something or other. Love the color and the functioning zipper.

Third one of these, in black this time. They're working up fast 'cause I'm omitting sleeves ... and making them short 😅 But it's fun to have basically a one-day crochet.

Had a great trip to the thrift store today. This little bench is all plastic and very lightweight, and about the perfect size for 1/4 BJD.
