These small abstract sculptures at a park look like big sculptures for the dolls 😄
War of the WellieWishers: Outfits (Round 2)
Which outfit is the best?
Rainy Day
Ringmaster
Rainy day all the way! Though I may be a bit biased
Just something about this shade of pink with this skin color that just makes both POP. Might be biased tho because I love hot pink shades.
No rug, or rug? And if so, which one? Any other colour recommendations are also welcome.
(P.S. wallpaper samples from hardware stores make great rugs, I’ll adding some frayed fabric edges to these)
Colleen Moore’s fairy tale castle dolls’ house. Moore was one of the most successful silent film stars (famous for popularising the ‘Dutch boy’ bob), and she started creating this dolls’ house in 1928. She enlisted the help of professional planners and architects, such as Horace Jackson, the set designer at First National Studios. The entire house can be broken down into individual pieces and packed into specially designed shipping crates, and from 1935 to 1939 Moore took the dolls’ house on tour through the U.S. to help raise money for children’s charities, which proved hugely successful. Moore gave the dolls’ house to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago in 1949.

Meanwhile, the Doll People are like...there is a precedent
who amoung us doesn't want to know what the yassified winkie guard looks like without his clothes on
It’s going to be just a regular Ken articulated body but green. I had the scarecrow, tin man and cowardly lion when I was a kid and they were all like that. I used to swap their outfits. It was horrifying.
I wonder if this guy is bald…🤔 The scarecrow was bald under his hat.
@dollsahoy has him! And has redressed him
Yep, I overrode my cheapskate tendencies and paid the whole $40 for him from TRU in 2007
He doesn't have hair, but his sculpt was designed for hair, so he has a groove molded where his hairline should be
Since he's from before Mattel's ~Articulation Era~, he has the early 2000s modification of the 1990s gymnast Ken body, which was a modification of a 1980s doll (Spectra Tom Comet) which was a modification of a 1970s doll (Young Sweethearts Michael.) No articulated wrists or ankles, the knees are hinges without pivots, the hips and waist are held together with rubber (but the waist is way more elegant than the 1990s and earlier bodies), and the neck only twists, no tilt.
Now, if you don't know me, you aren't aware that I used to have a bit of a reputation as someone who would get or customize novel dolls and then find new homes for them fairly quickly, so the fact that I still have this guy says how much I like him, even with his limitations and dubious design decisions
I was this many days old when I realized this is just the standard pointing hand with an additive mod

Can sew no more today, my back is dead
Tshirt was a free gift with a purchase.
Shorts are the same vintage pants pattern but cut off, and yet a little more taken off the waist. Fabric from @dollsahoy (thank you!) I did cut the pieces out sideways to make these cats right side up-ish 😅
Faceup by @joshybearhuggies ♥️
