In 2023, I turned a Lagoonafire with a Lagoona head into a directly Gill-man based Black Lagoon ghoul, Gilliana Manuela Ribeiro. She was more dyed than I planned for her to be, but was also absolutely stunning the way she turned out. Unfortunately, the dye I used to change Lagoona's color faded badly from her head vinyl over time, so the best way to salvage the doll was to re-repaint her body to the new color. It's closer to my initial vision, but also more muted than what I wanted for her. Still glad to have her around after all that work!

This was all before the Skullector Creature was revealed (pass 2 at Gilliana literally the day before the reveal), and both outcomes for Gilliana appeal to me far more personally.

I dyed a doll! Love the difference in dye up take in the different plastics she’s made out of. I’ll seal and paint the bits that didn’t go teal. If you want an easy frankendoll though, RH has your back!

Dyed Unoa Zero Latea Decadent face plate on a Limhwa body.

Dye jobs are always a gamble, and this body turned out very blotchy but the color is worth it imo. Her face was smooth and flawless!

So since @cosmomoore is talking about dying a RH River, I thought i'd post my dyed Stella!

I picked ritdyemore super pink, hoping for any kind if pink, and here she is! In various types of lighting...

Ending way more fuchsia then pink, but it was my first time dying a doll so i love it. Her freshy dyed colors are here:

Torso and thighs take dye real light, knee joints and hip cups take none. Elbows take dye but only on the part exposed obviously. I also dyed her hair to be darker.

I didn't like that look, so I search all over, bought a lot of paint pens, and settled on a fuchsia posca for touch ups and that look is here:

I painted her thighs and torso to color-correct, and her forearms to look like it was intentional. I also took a maroon (maybe?) sharpie and darkened all her joints. I think it helps her seem alien and segmented (idk if anyone else sees that). I also put sealant over it so it looks less bad now haha

Her name's Ferris now, named after Ferrous Sulfate which is an iron suplement I take for anemia (coz iron is good for your blood and heart i guess?)

Here's a final pic of her with her eyes in. Eventually i'll paint her but their faces are really pretty without makeup.

Third Petitgem done! A Meipy/Ondiin Bae-Bee :3 Took the longest time to mask all her parts properly, but I really like the result.

I assembled them (incorrectly I should note... I accidentally put the peanuts in the opposite places) just to see how he looked. I'm going to have to disassamble them to finish up their customizing though.

This color in this photo is still not 100% accurate, but it is close. The splotchiness is much more noticeable in this photo though. The "lighting effects" aren't that, they are massive splotches lol

I put some of the fine nail glitter on his chest to see what I thought. I think I like it and with some paint splattered "stars" I think it will add a nice effect.

I have to fix some of the splotchiness on his face though. It is just not toned correctly enough for my tastes.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to working on them some more.

Also, has anyone ever tried Krylon Matte Sealant for doll purposes? I have Testor's Dullcote, but I found a while can of Krylon Matte Sealant, so I thought I would ask.
