It's always there.

I feel it behind me.

It's in the very corner of my vision, but every time I turn to look it hides or disappears.

At night when I can't see through the windows, it watches me from the other side.

It hides in the dimension of mirrors and reflective television screens.

It hides in the shower drains, in the vents, in pitch black doorways, under furniture.

I've never seen it.

I hope I never do
