Ok unpopular opinion (apparently)

although Lin wan'er's character in season one is quite flat. I find it a STRETCH to say she's "dull". I feel like people undervalue how much we actually got to know about her and how she changed throughout the season.

To expand on that, if we got to see any of Lin Wan'er's character during the beiqi arc while fanxian was away, I wholeheartedly believe it would've added the last push of character depth she needed to take her out of that flat character zone.

A missed opportunity really.

Lin Wan'er, if Fan Xian doesn't treat you well in the next season, you can marry me instead. 😍❤ but seriously. All the women of this drama are fucking amazing and gorgeous. I dont care that her character is pretty flat in this season. I have hopes that she'll blow us all way by season 2.
