from what I remember from my sister who does that kind of thing a LOT, the difference is the intensity, if you want it really visible or not. I don't like to go to the hairdresser so go, show your pics, ask and see with whom it feels right.

Your hairdresser should know what you want by just looking at a picture :) Honestly, when it comes to hair and makeup, it just matters that you enjoy it and have fun with it (so corny...) But honestly, I've learned a lot from friends and the internet but I never feel bad about not knowing a word/phrase bc we're all still learning right? I think social media makes us think we have to be experts but we're all going at our own pace so take your time ❤ I also really like the style you've chosen and i hope it works out!
I’m 28 and I feel like I’ve not yet managed to have fun with hair and makeup! But I guess it’s not too late to learn as you say. My main problem has been I’ve always hated my hair, and I’m starting to learn to love it but I think some color like this would be really awesome. Thank you so much ❤

The biggest thing for me was finding a hairdresser I clicked with and felt comfortable with! This is hard if you don't already have one, but maybe ask for local recs? I get nervous about this too. I always bring pictures - the help a lot.
Yes, I think part of the problem is I’ve moved so many times and so had a hard time finding a hairdresser to stick with. I did have one I liked a lot back when I lived in Brazil, but here I have no idea. I am trying out a hairdresser that was recommended to me by a friend and hoping they’ll be good. Thank you!

Most hairdressers know that people don't always have the right vocabulary. If you want your hair like the pictures you posted, bring those pictures and show them to the hairdresser. if they're worth their salt, they'll explain things to you or give you the terms you don't know.

I wish I could give you the vocab but I've been to a hairdresser exactly once with the only instruction being 'Make it look like this picture of Diana Agron'. So maybe take in those reference pictures if you're not sure how best to describe it? Also OMG you'd look awesome with that sort of thing =D.
Thank you <3 I really hope so and that I have the courage to go through with it! I have also taken in pictures before but, with the exception of one hairdresser I had, I feel like I always get told that it won’t work with my hair. I think I will do that though and hopefully that won’t be the case this time.
