how many fics did you write this year? 13! All finished, and I'm dang proud of it, too!

how many words did you write this year? > 350k published!

did you try anything new this year? (new fandom? new pairing? new language?) I set out to get a better handle on characterizing the Avengers, and I think I made excellent progress.

did you participate in any fests/events during the year? I finished two fics for the Loki Gen Fic Fest (Mayday, Mayday, Mayday and The Wild Hunt) and one for the Thorki Secret Santa (Negotiating with Monsters). I also loved participating in the ROTE Springfest 2025 by submitting art for Dancing on the Edge of a Cliff (Fitzloved) by the enormously talented @smoky-solitude! It was a blast! :D

which is the funniest fic you have written this year? Hand down Every Day Is Golden At Asgard Co. (Frostiron), the Avengers Superstore Crack AU!

which is the angstiest fic you have written this year? Land of Lies (Frostiron), which comes with heavy warnings on the tags as they sexily and dysfunctionally working through trauma. (I mean it. That fic is dark.)

which is the steamiest fic you have written this year? ... big warning, this one is dub-con, no hopeful ending in sight: Triboelectric Effect (Thorki)

which is your most valuable writing lesson learned this year? I've finally started using narrative frameworks and, holy cow, my pacing has improved like crazy!

what do you look forward to writing next year? Ohhhh, I have such good, active WIPs right now. <3 Here are the working titles: "Nowhere Land" (Stoki and Thorki) is a psychological horror fic about memory loss and grief, told in reverse chronological order. "The Great Hero Bakeoff" (Frostiron) sees Pepper arranging a celebrity bake off featuring all of the Avengers--it's a real nailbiter as Clint's baking skills threaten to burn down the tent at any moment! "Loki Show Rewrite" (Gen) will be roughly 100k of Loki overthrowing the TVA from the outside. And maybe accidentally ending the world while he's at it? We'll see! 45k done, so far.

Having some troubles with the usual official formatting for the post, but the next chapter of Cold Frame has been posted!

Excerpt:

The moment Bucky grabbed him, cool metal fingers gripping down powerfully into exposed skin, Steve’s arm lit up in cording veins of bright and bursting blue. He could see those lines spiderweb into the places the vibranium came into contact, pulsating up Bucky’s left arm alongside its own separate grooves of red, yellow, purple, and orange - evidence of his previous contact with Tony’s gauntlet. The light was intense enough that it was forcing its way through the fabric of Bucky’s charcoal shirt, traveling up beyond his heart before it broke free again along the skin of his neck, stunning even in the bright light streaming through the sides of the greenhouse.

Bucky kept staring at Steve throughout, hints of Infinity fading in and out of his irises. He tightened his grip against Steve’s pulse, then relaxed, pulling his palm up so it was no longer flush against Steve’s skin, though he kept his fingertips pressed into the paths of blue light.

In just under a minute, it was more sustained contact than the two of them had engaged in together since Steve had gotten back. There was something pouring into Steve at that realization - exhilaration, filling empty spaces, pushing aside parts of him that had started to deaden the first time he’d tried and failed to reach Siberia. He filled his lungs with a deep breath, then released it slowly.

For anyone who’s afraid of approaching me because they ship [insert ship name] or [insert ship name], please rest assured knowing I don’t block or harass anyone for shipping ANYTHING, nor do I have a DNI when it comes to ships or liking a specific character.

I believe it’s blatantly stupid and inconsiderate to parasocially hate A PERSON (mind you, not just the ship or a character) and believe they’re an awful person behind the screen for having a taste different to yours, especially when there’s nothing actually ‘problematic’ about it. And I hate when people have surface-levelled perceiving when it comes to this subject to the point where they’ll still fight reasoning back with non-logical responses that could be just watered down to ‘oh I just dislike this ship/character so I’ll call it and anyone who likes it problematic, fuck u”

I don’t mind any ship/character at all, some may not be my personal cup of tea, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to see people’s perspectives/takes on them, how they feel about them AND the fanart too :3

I indulge deeply in fandoms, whether it be art, headcanons, events, takes, fanfictions, heck even drama because it isn’t a full fandom experience without it lolol, just anything at all. So it means I’ll consume literally anything it throws at me.
