What should I expect to see at Geekycon? It's my first time going and I want to be prepared.
It all depends on what you’re planning on going to, but there’s everything from smaller panels to big meetups (like the LGBTQ+ Meetup!) to massive mainstage events. There’s also the Marketplace where there will be lots of vendors with lots of different things that will be available to buy. I’m not entirely sure if they are doing it this year, but last year they started “popup programming”, which I never really got to see, but I believe it was just unannounced programming that happened in the more common areas (like the lobby, escalators, etc). That’s all can think of right now- I believe those are the main things- but there’s most probably going to be more. A lot of smaller things, I believe.
Outside of programming, you’ll see and meet lots of amazing people.
And also a lot of lines.
