In an earlier post, I had to figure out how to make a particularly long chain to start my newest project. A blanket using the moss stitch. This stitch is also known as the granite or linen stitch. Either way, it's beautiful and warm and easy to stitch. Really excited at what is already done.

Have I ever mentioned how much yarn chicken stresses me out? 😧 You know what DOESN'T stress me out, though? Not having a billion ends to sew in! Have you ever tried the three color striping technique that allows you to carry your yarn up the side almost invisibly? It makes for easy stripes AND everything is nicely balanced because you're carrying the yarn up on both sides. I hadn't done it in a while before I started this project, but now I have the red memorial blanket going, plus I've got a new design idea dancing around in my head, too... Learning and exercising linen stitch was on my todo list for a while now. Check!✔ Swipe for a short video. This will be a cowl on 179 stitches. 4.5 mm needles and sockyarn scraps held double.
