I have finished the shawl for a gift. As with most of my gifts, I want to keep it. Lol. Sigh. I have some other yarn that will look fabulous in this pattern. I will look into doing that.

These are the patterns I found on good old Pinterest to make this possible. By no means am I the creator of this pattern.

Tis finished. It looks great! Feels great, too. I have a lot more of the yarn, which is fabulous. I have several ideas for the leftovers.

Currently making a rug with yarn bought at my local Dollar Tree. It was going to be a back panel for a sweater but the fabric of the stitch is way too thick. Thus the pivot. I like the idea of it being a rug. I hope it turns out well. The stitch is the moss / linen stitch. One of my favorite stitches.

I did finish this rug for the other side of my bed. I use double crochet stitch for it. I like the size but it feels a little thin for a rug. I am happy that i was able to use up my leftover yarn.

I wanted to make a project bag for a co-worker who is getting ready to leave for school. She is a fellow crocheter and stated she didn't have a place to keep her projects. I hope she likes it.

I found this crochet pattern on Pinterest and was inspired to start crocheting a shawl for my mom.

The stitch definition isn't very visible but still looks and feels great! I am going to keep going and prays that it comes out well.

Dish scrubbies made with cotton yarn and red heart scrubby yarn. It works great and friendly to almost all dishes. I like giving them as house warming gifts.

I had been wanting to make a hand towel but didn't like the stitches. When I learned Tunisian stich, I knew this was the fabric I wanted to make but didn't see a good pattern... ok. So, I should point out that I have a hard time reading patterns. YouTube has been very helpful. I have made this without a set pattern. Really happy with the results.

I am making a bag for my essential oils. Still in the works as you can see. But it is coming along well.

- I was looking for something that would create a stiff wall for the basket. After a quick search in the vast halls of YouTube, I found the waistcoat stitch. A little experimenting session later and boom! This is fantastic! Totally understand why this is a favored stitch for making any kind of containers.

This is a blanket for my nephew and his wife for their wedding present. It's late but at least it's done. The colors are in their wedding colors. Really satisfied with how it came out.

Star Wars themed coaster set. The coasters are the lightsabers blades and the holder is the handle. I know not all of he blades are represented but that's what happens when peeps run out of yarn...

Project bag 2.0! I am working with someone to get it lined. I have written down what I did but don't know how to properly translate it into a pattern. One way or another I will figure it out. In the meantime, I will dance a bit.

In an earlier post, I had to figure out how to make a particularly long chain to start my newest project. A blanket using the moss stitch. This stitch is also known as the granite or linen stitch. Either way, it's beautiful and warm and easy to stitch. Really excited at what is already done.

I am making a blanket. The starting chain is really long. In order to keep count, I used stitch markers every 10 stitches. It worked perfectly! Hope this helps you with starting your big projects. 🖖 P.S. - thanks Mom.
