It was odd to see his doppelgänger. Technically, Vanitas was the mimic to the boy but it was still an out-of-body experience.
There were slight differences, of course. While his hair was black, the boy had light brown hair that would catch the sunlight and shine, golden eyes were replaced with oceanic blue eyes. He was a mirror. A mirror that reminded him of what he was. What he could never be on his own.
It took only a few steps to catch up to him, with the distance shortened he could feel that familiar pull. The pull that promised redemption. Another chance.

“You didn’t honestly think it was going to be that easy to get rid of me, did you?” Laughing softly, arms crossing over his chest as if that might lessen the tug of his sleeping half.
