Kairi laughed and shook her head lightly, smiling at the other. 

“That’s true and we wouldn’t know the friends we do or the things we do, we would just be kids.”

Her smile slowly dropped at the thought, the thought that they would have had a normal but happy childhood. She would have never known anything about her past nor would she be such good friend with Riku or Sora.

        “You’re right. All three of us could still be on the island…or somehow gave into the darkness like the whole island.” As he can remember, the three of them really did survive through that. And he has a lot of people to thank for again for saving him, his friends and home. As he looked up he saw Kairi’s smile was gone. “Hey…it’s true but, look at us now! We’re still together, right? I mean…it must have been fate for us to meet you!”

Kairi couldn’t help but laugh at that, nodding softly. “I guess so huh?” She said smiling. Leaning back onto the side way tree she sighed, looking out at the Ocean.

“I mean I’m happy here I just wish I knew more about my past. Did I have a family? Friends?” Kairi wondered out loud, the same thoughts she had for years now being voiced to Sora of all people.

“Who would be friends with someone like you.” Kairi said, her hands tightening into fist at her side. This was the man who took Riku away from her and Sora. The man who took Sora from her. The young girl refused to listen to a word this....this...monster had to say.

“Your nothing but a crazy old man who has ruined peoples lives as well as taken them!” The girl snapped, hand thrown out to call her Keyblade forward, Destiny’s Embrace coming to her as soon as it was called. “And I refused to listen to you anymore.” Kairi said before moving back with a glare. 

“FIRE!” She called, aiming her Keyblade at the man, no monster, before her. Fire burst out from the end of her Keyblade, heading right for the others chest.

Every time Sora returned to the islands it felt like it’d been a lifetime. It was kind of funny, in a strange way. Often his dreams had taken him to unheard of places, so far off from home, but now it was returning here that felt more like a dream. He didn’t have time to linger on that thought, though, and boy did he just not want to think about sleep or dreaming at length for a good, long time. He attention lay elsewhere this visit.

“So, you’re really willing to fight with us?” He sat in the usual place, next to Kairi, on the crooked tree, facing the open ocean. It wasn’t that he was necessarily worried that she couldn’t handle herself or anything.. He was just having a hard time dealing with his own thoughts after everything that happened during the Mark of Mastery exam, and his insecurity was quietly seeping into other areas of his mind. He smiled despite that, ever full of hope, “There’s nothing we won’t be able to handle with you and Lea by our sides, especially against those dirty cheaters.”

Kairi nodded slightly, sitting on the side ways tree as they always did when they need to talk. With a smile she began to talk.

“Yeah Axel and I have been training hard.” She said softly, her smiling fading a little as she looked out at the ocean and away from the other beside her. “I know we’re not as strong as you or Riku but we can help, if only a little.”

She turned her head away from the water to look at the boy beside her, smiling some though it was clear she was upset and thought of herself as unable to truly help her friends.

So could have Sora. He was “just” suspended in air. This still put stress on his arm, but in contrast to Kairi, his mobility wasn’t as impaired. With Kairi’s arm twisted behind her back however? She had no chance and was in constant pain. Not to mention that Sora is used to hanging off of one arm, that’s literally how part of the platforming in this game works. 

And before you guys come shouting at me

Sora calls for her first. She reacts to him. It’s become automatic for the both of them. Don’t hold it against her.

You still wanna be a petty human being and hate on a character that is innocent and has been done dirty by her writers multiple times?

for axel and kairi fans i foiund this video on how they fight regardless of how we feel about them atleast they tried i was one of the fans that was blind to think they would turn into major badasses due to some quick training xemnas and saix are tough he even mocked axel by calling his keyblade a joke this reminds me of vegeta and trunks fighting cell there training was off screen and they never stood a chance against perfect cell its kinda the same situation here if you really think about it again regardless of how we feel about them they tried their best and i liked their roles plus this isn’t the end guys they can stilll grow in future games i hope this post renews your faith in them atleast alittle

☆ Being hugged was still a very new feeling for Naminé, but she would have never imagined to be able to hug Kairi. A smile had slowly begun to form on her face and it made her beyond happy to be able to have this experience now. “I’m so happy I can meet you now, I just know we are going to be best friends.” She smirked slightly, giggling. “Just don’t tell Sora I’m replacing him.” She winked showing she was joking about replacing Sora, though she knew Naminé and her would be great friends.
