I do love that whenever Cheng Xiaoshi is in danger Lu Guang goes from rational, cool, collected to panic, violent, throw everything at the wall

And it's the opposite for CXS. He be all over the place, a silly lil guy. But when LG is in danger he becomes so competent, zoned in and suddenly throws out well calculated plans

And it's just the yin and yang of it all! Mwah I love it

Random trailer thoughts (spoilers below)

I HOPE this is just symbolic imagery of Vein'a actions being puppeteered by someone else and not like him literally being controlled like this. With Link Click, I feel like it could go either way. I also have no idea who this person is—maybe his dad? Maybeee CWM? But from the other shots we get of CWM in this trailer, I don't think it is.

Drunk QL?? Or maybe she's just blushing at LX, which is a fair reaction tbh. Also she's with XF too, so she's finally interacting with them in canon yayyay!

THE TATTOO ON HIS HAND AAAAAAAA. Officially a cult member. Also, maybe the placement has to do with the power? Like LX's is kinda above his heart ig and now we have LTC's on his hand, which makes sense because he has to have physical contact with his victims. Maybe LG's would be over his eyes or something. . . . Not that he'd ever get a tattoo like that or join LX (prob).

Half mute xiaoshi (with the help of my friend @p4nk3 )

So after a hard dive(something with death or related to family), cheng's mind shuts down making him mute and making his mind regress into a headspace of OTHER dives he went before but now in his incoherent mind he thinks that those memories are his own.

Sometimes the memories are only from one dive, yes it still makes him stressed out but he can still act normal he's just mute and needs a bit more support, but on bad days he'll get multiple memories from different dives that overwhelmed him to the core until he thinks he is that person and forgets About who he actually is just Cheng Xiaoshi not Emma,not tianxi, not shanshan just xiaoshi.

I think he'll get confused by mirrors a lot since he doesn't know who he's supposed to be his reflection would trigger something in him until Qiao ling or lu Guang would snap him back to reality and make him remember who he is and not who he is supposed to be.

Could you classify Lu Guang as a Yandere of some sorts?

For context, I was on yt listening to video essays to pass time, when I came across a video discussing what a Yandere is, the history behind them, and etc.

Now the reason I ask this question in particular is because I’m curious, it’s more of a crack thought and not really ment to be taken seriously.

So What is a Yandere?

According to Google

“A "yandere" is a fictional character, usually female, who is obsessively and possessively devoted to someone, often to the point of violence or murder. The term is a combination of the Japanese words yanderu, meaning "sick", and deredere, meaning "lovestruck"”

Now one the surface Lu Guang doesn’t really fit the text book description of a Yandere, so that’s why I ask. However, there are some similarities between him and a Yandere.

Lu Guang, does have very close and devoted friendship and/or romantic relationship with Cheng Xiaoshi, often doing things that would be against his own rules for how to handle their time travel abilities.

Now, something that someone might say to contradict this are

•His behavior isn’t depicted as obsessive

I which I would both agree and disagree with.

Now is it exactly explicit by saying “This is obsessive behavior” No, it isn’t. It’s more of an observation on how he acts towards Cheng Xiaoshi’s death and the unwillingness to accept it.So much that it becomes obsessive in a way.

We have seen Lu Guang attack people who have put Cheng Xiaoshi’s life at risk

Examples: Qian Jin, and Vein.

With this, he is also giving up and sacrificing the rest of the timelines for a chance to save him. He marks the exact moments so he can go through the timeline smoothly, so he can repeat the process over and over again, just so he can attempt to save him.

So Is Lu Guang a Yandere or has Yandere Traits?

okay. Hear me out. What if all the promotional art of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi almost hand holding isn't actually censorship but it's symbolic that they are reaching for each other but they are never really close enough to touch because there is a rift of time and space between them.

So. Once they actually figure that shit out they can hold hands properly ^3^
