People are really going insane on the idea that Link shouldn't talk.
He canonically speaks to people, you fools. Zelda asks what he thinks constantly and he will reply. Even if that is only when spoken to, he at least replies lol
Seeing as it's a movie, I feel it's about time Link is his own individual. Nintendo has gradually moved further and further from the whole "insert yourself into the adventure" schtick, removing our naming of the hero and giving him a very prominent personality. Right now, they're just really stubborn on keeping him 😐 during moments he definitely should show more emotion.
Thats not to say it'll be a good movie cuz for fucks sake its gonna be live action and typical cgi and ugly and annoying and things will be annoying i stg they will. It's the fucking morbin time guy. But, hating on the prospect of Link possibly talking at all is over the top. He canonically TALKS. Just not much.
I do agree though that I want to see sign language. But let him talk too sometimes.
