i ship gaylois because i see asterix knowing obelix' crushes being temporary, cuz he always returns to asterix in the end anyways, i dont think he minds the crushes.
in the end, theyre just infatuations that eventually end. what asterix and obelix have is forever. what that is is up to you
still tweaking his base design and slowly getting more confident with it hehe
This one’s about the big fight series.
I want to talk about Obélix’s stage fright. I’m guessing that this post is mainly for the people that think that this is a new feature for Obélix that Alain Chabat added.
Honestly, when I first saw some person’s comment somewhere saying that, it was unnecessary to give him stage fright and that it was much better when “the only thing the Gauls feared was the sky falling on their heads” I was like this gif...
Obélix’s stage fright is not something new. We first saw it in Astérix and the cauldron (1969), we see it again in Astérix and the laurel wreath (1971). There are more examples of this throughout the comic books. Pretty sure
I loved the series very much, yes I’m saying it again. One of the reasons that I loved it that much is because there are some details taken from other comic books that were incorporated in it.
there's a silly amount of "asterix is about to DIE" moments that end with him carried like a princess (the big fight, vs caesar, mansions of the gods etc) and other scenes where he is just picked up for the love of the game (every movie)
I never thought I'd hear someone refer to "woke" in such disdain at work. I wish I could crack up in his face but alas.
At least I had someone on my side when we rebutted that "woke" isnt bad if it means people are respected and loved for who they are instead of bullied, marginalized and hated for WHAT they are. Conservatives stop calling everything woke challenge impossible
First day of pride-month btw, but he said it in connection to a discussion about blackface being far rarer in media nowadays (which is good, because that shit is insane and fucking awful, and I shouldnt have to clarify this but some people genuinely dont care appearantly???)
this pride month we’re all going to be radically pro transgender. or else.
hey so this means radically pro ALL transgender. don’t put limitations on this. all trans people are radically accepted here.
The fandom is small when you have to start translating fanfics to get some content
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH MY GAY LITTLE FAMILY OF SILLIES

also youre so STUPID
there were! Im just putting the dragons as a "fuck you" in case anyone tries to argue queers didnt exist. It wasnt documented much with regular people, but theres plenty of norse mythos that include shapeshifting, genderneutrality and queerness :) !!
Might make Astrid trans aroace in my fic.

“We should have NEVER trusted you!”
(Okay, can I just freak out over this scene? It’s what Bunny does in this scene, not what he says that always got my attention. You see him raise his hand, looking as if he’s about to punch Jack. He wants to hurt him back, physically hurt him, like how he feels at that moment. He finally let all the walls down he had built up to keep the little kid out of his life, not trusting him as far as he could throw him, and when he does, thinking he had a new friend, it gets thrown back in his face. The hope he had for Jack is shown to be for nothing.
But you also see the anger vanish in an instant, and then all you see is the hurt. He drops his fist, and is instead giving Jack the worse punishment, the broken friendship he thought they had. I also like to think that Bunny was also realizing that he was going to hurt Jack, who for all intensive purposes most likely his eyes, was still a child. He was about to strike a child. As a Guardian, I’m sure you can imagine how that would have affected him.
In that second, you see him realize that Jack has betrayed him, and also how he was about to hurt them both. If he had gone through and hit Jack, the damage most likely would have been irreparable. Jack never would have come back, and we would have gotten a very different story.
Just… All the emotion and dynamics in this scene catches me so well. It’s just amazing, and shows how three dimensional all characters are. I could go into Jack’s reaction too, but then this post would be longer then it already is. Bunnymund isn’t just the tough guy who gets annoyed easily, he’s also human and can be hurt. You get to see that he’s vulnerable, which I think is amazing.)
Also the way Jack Frost flinches to turn his face away, genuinely reflexively preparing to actually get hit makes me want to scream actually
