Do you ever see a cat doing something where they're clearly working out *how* to do it and just get floored by how smart that is? My moms cat just figured out how to open the lid on our kibble container and while I am dreading the future she's created (they already had child-proof locks and an airtight mechanism) she sat in the kitchen for an hour figuring out how to get past them. And again, while this will result in hell until I can secure the container better, I'm amazed at this little beast!
that’s basically been my last two years with Yardstick. I’m constantly torn between admiration for my Very Smart Boy, frustration that I have to devise new cat barriers, and fear.
