Thank you for at least updating More than one hero despite lack of motivation. It's really amazing! Wonder how relationships change though as Linkatsuki is less of an unpleasant person than Bakugou and probably more approachable. Both are interesting though. In a funny situation, I can see Class 1-A going "Why doesn't Bakugou talk?" when he goes completely slient.

“Why doesn’t Bakugou talk?” Blood King wonders out loud in the office one day. “It’s not a problem, I’m just curious. I’ve heard him talk fine with his peers, but he rivals Kouda when it comes to being quiet in class.”

Ironically, all he gets is silence.

“He… talks just fine in my class,” Midnight replies, blinking. “He was even a little troll when we were making hero names,” she sighs, then laughs at the memory. “He kept writing ridiculous names like ‘Lord Asshole Mido of Gatekeeping’ or ‘Fucking Cucco Slayer’,” she shakes her head. “He even put ‘King Link Skyloftian Hyrule’ for his final choice.”

Toshinori coughs.

“Oh, man, the lil’ hero of twilight!” Present Mic cackles. “Dunno what you’re talking about, he’s one of my best students in English! His recitations are the best! Did you know he can make a convincing British accent?”

“He likes sharing his thoughts when we do rescue simulations,” Thirteen adds.

“He’s pretty good in math, very confident in answering my questions,” Ectoplasm says.

“He’s not loud, but I wouldn’t call him silent either,” Aizawa yawns on the floor, burying himself deeper in his yellow cocoon of a sleeping bag.

“I’m not even his teacher and he still visits the support class to talk to Hatsume,” Power Loader grumbles. “Eraser, control your bomb-happy problem child.”

“I’m busy with nineteen more children, one of them likes damaging his body way too much,” was the tired reply. “If All Might can control his own problem son then I’ll consider it.”

Toshinori sputters. “Young Midoriya is not my son!”

“I never said it was Midoriya, but thank you for clarifying.”

Helia laughs as the man sputters some more.

“So he talks to all of you then,” Blood King says, shoulders drooping.

“Ah, don’t take it personally,” Toshinori starts, patting the man’s back. “Perhaps he’s still getting used to you? You are a little intimidating.”

“You punched him so hard in the exams that he puked while flying towards a wall. Hard,” is Aizawa’s snort. “And he still has the courage to keep swearing in your class, don’t deny it–I’ve heard his loud mouth.”

“Er, well-” Toshinori stutters. “In his defense, he’s trying curb down his profanity.”

Blood King droops some more.

Toshinori gives his sad colleague a look, he then glances at the other teachers. They all had nothing to say, going back to their grading and lesson plans (and sleeping, in Aizawa’s case).

“It’s probably because of your connection to 1-B,” he finally admits. “Their rivalry can be borderline… ah… hostile.”

“Control your copy-cat problem child,” Aizawa translates. “Then bomb-happy problem child will talk to you.”

“For someone who’s been wanting to sleep this past hour, you are surprisingly active, Aizawa-kun.”

Some more concept doodles on Linkatsuki’s hero outfit in [More Than One Hero].

I remember someone commenting if I’ll be removing the canon bracers, and nope. Besides giving Katsuki the ability to make bigass explosions, the bracers serve as shock absorbers of sorts. It lessens the strain on his arms whenever he makes explosions. 

So the bracers stay, but the design will be different since Linkatsuki doesn’t really care about looking intimidating.

And yes, Izuku did most of the design. If he didn’t, Linkatsuki would have defaulted to his green one.

I am honestly disappointed that there aren’t many BNHA crossover fics with Legend of Zelda. I mean Izuku’s nickname is Deku, why not change it to a cuter meaning.

Anyways, here’s how I imagined Linkatsuki looks like.

Talking about Linkatsuki and the subject of not speaking, do you think he would like to have a silent talk (sign language) with Kouda considering not everyone would be like that. Oh and about him defaulting back to his green costume for his his hero costume do you think such an event would ever happen or would he be stopped?

Linkatsuki wore the green costume in the exams mainly because it was the only practical outfit for combat he had, the other reason was to distract Izuku from his nervousness. He doesn’t really have any preferences in outfits, if it’s needed in a situation then he’ll wear it. That said, he doesn’t really need it once he gets his hero outfit.

It’s canon in BoTW that Link rarely talked, the pressure of being a champion/hero made it hard for him to talk. I’m not sure if Nintendo did it on purpose but this also explains why he’s more outgoing once he wakes up in the shrine of resurrection, he has no memories of this burden, and this makes him more open to people–hence why the replies you can choose when he talks to people can be incredibly sassy at times (my favorite is still “Paraglider, please?”).

Linkatsuki is in a world that is the opposite of the situation Link had in BoTW. There are many heroes to choose from, many who share the burden of saving the world, so he has the choice of being a hero or not and it still wouldn’t give the same amount of pressure he had in his past lives. He’s still a little silent, but that’s mostly because he’s not comfortable talking with someone he doesn’t deem as trustworthy.

I personally headcanon that Link does know sign language in BoTW. So Linkatsuki knows it too, just not the modern one (idk maybe Hylian sign language or something). He’d most likely be interested in learning if given the chance. And would be willing to sign if that made Kouda happy.
