LinkedPokemon AU

So me and some people on the 10L AU Discord Server have started a thing

Called LinkedPokemon.

It’s a Pokemon AU for 10L.

So far, we have the Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and Champion set, I have currently set up the 1st Gym with the help of some wonderful people on the server. Okay, I’m trying to tag them but it is not allowing me, I will see if I can tag them in the comments.

FIRST TOWN/GYM:

Skyloft, a mountainous town that you must access via a cave system. The famous Skyrail will give you access to the next town. The Pokemon League is just on the other side of the small mountain, but a massive blue Loftwing (Fairy/Flying-type) is blocking the way. It will stay there until you have 7 badges, and will give you a ride to the League after 8 badges.

Skyloft has the Trainers’ School, and the Hylia region’s postal service is based here.

The Skyloft Gym is a Flying-type Gym. The Gym Leader is Sky, who is well-known for sleeping in too late and causing the Gym not to open on time. You must go to his house and speak to his wife, Sun (my headcanon nickname for Sky’s Zelda), and she’ll have you wake him up. She’ll give you the HM01 Cut as thanks, and you’ll know have access to the Gym.

The Skyloft Gym requires you to press buttons to start up fans and ride bird Pokemon to certain areas. The Trainer type here is Bird Keeper, with an optional Sky Trainer.

Sky has a Lv. 10 Fletchling and a level 12 Masquerain. After defeating him, you will receive the Loft Badge and the TM for Roost.

The Hylia region has both canonical Pokemon (From Kanto to Alola) and ‘Pokemon’ that are creatures from various Eras in LOZ.

The villainous team is headed by Cia, it does not have a name just yet.

I’ll be the main writer for this, but anybody can join in on this, just like with the 10L AU itself!!! You can DM me, submit asks or such to my blog, if you’d like to add things or make suggestions, whatever you like! The tag is “LinkedPokemon” and “10L AU”. These are both LinkedUniverse AUs, though im sure yall will have garnered that already. If you are on the 10L server, you can also DM me on discord. FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THE LINKEDPOKEMON AU

We need names for towns, badges and pokemon teams.

The gym leaders that need all this and such are:

-Water-type Gym Leader: Wind

-Dark-type Gym Leader: Twilight

-Fairy-type Gym Leader: Time

-Dragon-type Gym Leader: Wild

-Steel-type Gym Leader: Warriors

-Ghost-type Gym Leader: Legend

There is also Hyrule, our Grass-type gym leader. He has a town name, which is Hylian Falls, waterfalls are a main attraction to the town, and to get to his Gym you have to help repair the bridge that leads to it. All the rest of the things for his town and such are still needed though, like possibly NPCs, and all the Gym/Pokemon team stuffs.

Got some more ideas, for Twilight this time. Umbreon, mightyena, and Zoroark would all be good fits for his wolf-side. Zoroark has the added bonus of being a shapeshifter. Sableye is the most imp-like Dark type, representing Midna, and Bisharp or Pawniard would be good for representing him as a swordsman. And Zoroark could immediatle preceed him for man-to-wolf shapeshifting action. And his gym would have you shift between the normal world and the Twilight world, navigating a twin-dimension maze

I really frigging like this. I definitely want him to have a Mightyena, and the whole dynamic for him having Zoroark and Pawniard would be epic. And I REALLY FRIGGING LIKE your idea for the gym. I feel like it’d make an awesome either mid-League Gym or final gym. I kind of want Time to be the 8th Gym Leader, maybe Twilight can be the 6th, since Wild will most likely be our 7th.

Wind could have a Wingull or Pelipper to represent the Rito (and Pelipper like his whole mailman role). Also an Octillery because it's the perfect Oktoroc reference. And finally Lapras, the Ferry pokemon, since he's the Link who sails. His gym could be a large ocean-like pool with currents that sweep you away and islands, and you'll have to use Surf (or a raft if you don't have the HM yet) to navigate to the islands where you can redirect the currents to take you where you wanna go.

Wind is definitely going to have either a Wingull or Pelipper. I really like the idea for Lapras, since the thing we had already was that you were going to have to take a ferry to get to his town. A cool thing you could do, since Wind will likely be either the 3rd or 4th Gym, maybe 5, he’ll be the Gym Leader who’s Badge is required to use Surf; You have to ride the Lapras that he has, and then you’ll find out you’ll be battling that Lapras when you get to him.

I have some ideas for Wild for your LinkedPokemon AU. First off, Drampa and/or Tyrantrum. A grandfather dragon or fossil pokemon will really fit the whole comes from an ancient time thing he has going on. A Dragonair, just so he has at least one serpentine dragon to fit with the BOTW dragons, and a Kommo-O as his ace, if he's even allowed to have a pseudo-legendary. Also his gym should definitely be like a Divine Beast, where the player must tilt the gym (or something) to make a path forward.

I really like all of that, actually. I was definitely wanting Dragonair, and Kommo-O would be good, especially since Wild will likely be a later-game Gym Leader, like either the 7th or 8th. I also really like the idea for his Gym, having to move stuff around or tilt the gym to get to him. That’s a super great idea!!! I’ll think about it a bit, see if anybody else suggests anything for his team, but it’s likely I’ll use most of this!

Since HW is a "crossover game" of sorts, Warriors could have team with references to other games. An Aegislash (or Honedge) because it's the most direct reference to the Master Sword, a Dhelmise for Windwaker's pirates, something from the Klink line (gears to represent OoT), Skarmory to represent Loftwings from Skyward Sword, and Magneton or Alolan Dutrio is the closest I can come to a Four Swords reference (because it's multiple entities acting as one). I can't think of anything for the gym :(

I really like all of these for the team. The little references work really well. Since not all of these Pokemon will be used, as there will be a limit to how many Pokemon the Gym Leader will use depending on which Gym they are in the league, we can still use this lineup for like, post-League battles! Like if we have a battle tree/battle resort or such.

TO THOSE INTERESTED IN

The LinkedPokemon and 10L AUs, another AU is being started, called 10Zombies. It’s a zombie apocalypse au of 10L. So that’s happening.

These AUs are going to be very slow-going, since 10L still needs to be written by its creators, and the characters finalized and such, so these will be very lax and not very plot-driven until that happens. But for now, just message me if you’d like to talk about stuff with either LinkedPokemon or 10Zombies or BOTH!!!
