MYST
A humble tribute to one of my favorite games of all time. The perspective is...well..horrid, but I did my best to capture all my love for the very first in a long string of games that have fascinated and inspired me since I was six.
It was a perfect excuse to break out my sepia pens too!
My nephew and I have been playing the new kings quest and so I made him a book inspired by the mirror and grams cape. It was sent to him for Christmas a few years ago.
A while ago, I was thinking about what kind of tattoo I would get if I were ever to get one. I decided I would want something sort of obscure that not too many people would actually recognize for what it is, and just looks like a neat design to anyone else without needing any explanation.
My original idea was an open book with the Star Fissure in the middle, but the composition was awkward, a bit crowded and I couldn’t get the book to look right at that size with the low level of detail I was going for. So I reworked the design into this. Simpler, cleaner, recognizable to some folks, mysterious to others.
I will probably not (as in less than 1% probability) be getting a tattoo in the foreseeable future, but I think something like this would be on the table.
