Okayokayokay. About my "Only Finn and Rebekah's names are spelt right into the linking spell" comment. Here's my sorts quick ramble;
Let me be I bitch for a moment and first say her ORDER is WEIRD. Klaus at the top then Rebekah and Finn the Kol and Elijah. If you're doing a family tree usually it's an age order so this was purposeful, she Ranked her children and apparently the one helping her Kill the others still isn't first. He's Third.
Right that parts over. So here's a Terrible show of the runes from the show, ones I use(from a translator) then two forms of an alphabet. Most likely she's using Elder. Even though it's 1/2 centuries out of use from her. But Still, here;
Let's give her the Weird rune I cannot find instead of a K I guess, but even Then she still gets three of her sons names wrong.

Here's a Blank One. No notes. Elijah and Kol don't end it the same letter. So why do the runes?
L and I aren't the same letter so why does Niklaus have two same runes where those should be different?
Because she's writing them Wrong. Even if we allow her the substitute for the K letter in the runes! Which, fair, can I believe happen. But even if it's neither of the specific runes, none I have found have L/H or I/L as the same runes!
