AN: My headcanon ages, but do think of them at whatever ages you want! - Henrik: 1 |Rebekah: 4| Kol: 7| Klaus:9 |Elijah: 13 | Finn: 17
Ansel had went to watch his son, he was sure he heard him in the woods with Elijah, but he got there to see Mikael landing a kick on his son as he was lay on the ground, curled up in pain, Elijah watching fearful and frozen.
Then Mikael left them there, Elijah fell to Klaus's side immediately but Klaus couldn't even get to his feet. Ansel threw whatever promise he gave to Esther, that meant nothing to him as he heard his son whimper in pain, he came out from where he'd hidden in the tree's.
Ansel slipped to his knee's opposite Klaus and watched Elijah reach for the small blade on his waist, "I'm a friend of your mothers," he told them, "from the other village, I can take you to help you get healed up." He said and focused on Klaus, "would you tell me how bad it is?" He asked and Klaus looked just as distrustful as Elijah.
"You are in pain, I know that." He said simply, "I can help you, if you tell me."
"Ribs... and my ankle." He said in a whisper.
"Okay," he said simply, "it is going to hurt for a little while longer." He told him before he picked him up.
"Wha-" Elijah started wide-eyed scrambling to his feet.
"Join us," he told him simply and started to walk.
Elijah looked uncomfortable, but followed, as he looked in the direction of their home but continued to follow him.
Klaus was sleeping and Elijah was sat at his side, their hands linked as Elijah watched Ansel, still unsure.
"I will not be harming either of you."
"We need to go home. Father will be mad, mother will be worried. And my siblings-"
"It is okay, I understand. I will be going to make sure your mother knows where you are." He told him, "you can sleep." Elijah shook his head, Ansel almost smiled, it was sweet that the boy was so protective, he probably couldn't have killed Ansel but he's sure Elijah would try if he thought he was enough of a threat. "Okay, I will allow you to stay here without me, I will be going to your mother. I will return soon." He offered.
"You will stay here, and protect your brother, who needs his rest.
When Ansel returned it was with Kol, Rebekah and Henrik in his arms. Elijah was on his feet and reached for Henrik immediately and Rebekah and Kol attached themselves to him, then Rebekah noticed Klaus and rushed to him and fell to his side.
Elijah moved an arm to Kol's back as he held Henrik with the other hand. "Mother let you take us?" Elijah asked in a whisper.
"She knows I'm safe." Ansel told him simply, Elijah looked at Henrik then nodded and guided Kol towards the area he'd been sat with Klaus.
