i really the idea of magical power manifesting in flowers (and it already happens in canon with the rose vine attack!) and although he does get both physical and magical enhancements from nova, as time goes on (who knows when) there will come a point where his physical body will no longer be able to handle the magic that he holds/produces. it's not quite like aging but more like getting overrun by nature and deteriorating.
