Lesson #113: Shall I? Should I?:

Shall I? Do you want me to

(으)ㄹ까(요)? Is used when the speaker wants to make a suggestion or ask the opinion of the listener.

Conjugation

사다 -> 살까요

닫다 -> 닫을까요

Examples:

내일 언제 전화할까요? - when shall i call you tomorrow?

무슨 선물을 살까요? - what present should i buy?

이 컴퓨터 어디에 놓을까요? - where should i put this computer?

베게 - pillow

FITK Korean Revision #1:

Hello everyone, since I have been absent for a loooong time, my level of Korean has dropped, so I thought, why not do some revision!!!

-이다 (to be)

-이에요: attached to a noun ending in a consonant, to say “It is .....”

-예요: attached to a noun ending in a vowel (no final consonant) and means the same.

Combining our grammar from lesson #10 and also vocabulary from lesson #19 (Days of the Week) I’ll give you examples of how to use this ending!

-이에요:

월요일이에요 - it is Monday

화요일이에요 - it is Tuesday

수요일이에요 - it is Wednesday

목요일이에요 - it is Thursday

금요일이에요 - it is Friday

토요일이에요 - it is Saturday

일요일이에요 - it is Sunday

-예요:

뭐에요? - what is it?

기차예요 - it is a train

커피예요 - it is coffee

차예요 - it is tea

영화예요 - it is a movie

Lesson #60: Emotions:

All these emotions are informal! If you want to make them formal add 저(는) instead of 나 and add 요 to the end of the emotion.

나 배고파 - I’m hungry

나 졸려 - I’m sleepy

(나) 괜찮아 - I’m okay

나 궁금해 - I’m curious

나 행복해 - I’m happy

나 신난다 - I’m excited

나 편해 - I’m comfortable

나 자신있어 - I’m confident

나 피곤해 - I’m tired

나 외로워 - I’m lonely

나 심심해 - I’m bored

나 화가나 - I’m angry

나 무서워 - I’m scared

나 짜증나- I’m annoyed

나 창피해 - I’m embarassed

나 답답해 - I’m frustrated

나 우울해 - I’m depressed

나 슬퍼 - I’m sad

This isn’t a very long list - but as beginners it’s what we need for now! I hope this is helpful!

Lesson #47: And, With ~하고, ~(이)랑:

하고 - and Used like a particle and attatched to a noun without space.

Example: 이거허고 이거 - this and this.

이거하고 이거 주세요 - give me this and this.

(이)랑 - and This us a more casual and not often used in formal situations.

Example: 우유랑 빵 - milk and bread.

빵이랑 우유 - bread and milk.

우유랑 빵 샀어요 - i bought milk and bread.

Both (이)랑 and 하고 are almost always interchangeable, but (이)랑 is more informal and not often used in formal settings.

Sorry for no lesson yesterday - I went to a gig with my friend and it was great but I felt like death after, but I might post two lessons today to make up for it!

아침 - morning

오늘 - today

매일 - everyday

동안 - for, while, during

달 - month

날 - day

하루 - one day

이틀 - two days

사흘 - three days

지난 주 - last week

지난 달 - last month

이번 주 - this week

이번 달 - this month

다음 주 - next week

다음 달 - next month

작년 - last year

올해 - this year

내년 - next year

평생 (동안) - in my whole life

보통 - usually

내일 - tomorrow

어제 - yesterday

밤 - night

I’m going to do a lesson on saying the time and some vocab to go along with it sometime in the near future to correspond with this lesson so don’t worry!

Lesson #36: ~은/는 • ~이/가 Pt 2:

I decided to post just a LITTLE bit more on these two particles just in case you guys didn’t understand everything in the last post!

So if you didn’t get it from the last post: ~은/는 - conversational comparison/ Stating a general fast

~이/가 - observation/you observed something and then mentioned your observation

Examples: 이 사과가 빨갛다 - The apple is red. (observation)

이 사과는 빨갛다 - The apple is red. (general fact)

이/가 emphasizes that the subject is doing the action.

은/는 simply states that the subject did the action.

Hope this tad bit extra is helpful to you all! I titled this as a lesson just so people won’t miss it!
