get your kisses // (one) of (five)
it makes lee stop what he’s doing, which was nervously spewing out a speech he rehearsed earlier concerning sleeping arrangements. the green beast is exuberant in his every-day, it’s not the first time someone comments on his odd ways of going about things. sasuke invited him to stay the night, it was his prompting ( and probably the fact lee’s sleepwalking was getting worse… ) that brought lee here. where they’ll be sleeping seemed to go without saying, but lee never liked to assume. and instead of just asking, he’s gone and written a monologue about respect and trust and youthful romance.
“…what?” he’s lost his place.
“you said ‘if you don’t trust me, i can sleep on the couch.’” the raven replies calmly, moving to take the piece of paper in lee’s hands, eyes casually roaming over the written out speech, “you should already know that i do. you’ll sleep with me.”
not for the first time, lee’s heart swells when he glances up at his partner. does he even know what his words do to the taijutsu master’s emotions? he must, for he does it all the time. even in the shortness, the blunt nature of his words, lee finds warmth in the way he speaks with conviction. he never says anything he doesn’t mean. he believes sasuke when the raven says ‘i trust you.’ the fact humbles him to his core, knowing not many people are on that specific list. but he is.
he’s sort of just staring at the uchiha for a moment while sasuke keeps speaking. he’s not sure about what. it’s very unlike lee to not listen when someone is talking to him, it’s incredibly rude! but all he can think about is how his heart races.
he prefaces himself with a bandaged hand at sasuke’s cheek, pushing aside a strand of hair ( so soft, always so soft ) before placing a kiss on parted lips. he can’t help himself, his heart blossoms and warms him from his core.
oh, how far he has fallen.
