kunikida drags him like he weighs nothing at all. normally, he might get caught up in dazai trying to distract him with useless knowledge that he’d fall for, but today the agency’s reputation was on the line. he wouldn’t let dazai’s idiocy dishonor fukuzawa.
he lifts dazai by the collar and slams him to his feet in front of the shop, shoving the gift in his hands.

It’s not often that the angel comes down from the haven of the Aerial Casino. But today it seems that Lady Luck has decided to play a hand in the events that were to unfold. The manager walked through the crowd as if he were but a wind spirit over the earth. Silver eyes do not miss the child that seemed to be tucked away from the rest of the world.
It’s not any of Sigma’s business. In fact , it would likely be better to not get involved. But his heart is too big , and the child looks worse for wear. His business can wait. Decision made , the manager turns and instead approaches the boy with a warm and gentle smile on his lips in contrast to the gloomy clouds in the sky. “ Are you alright ? You look upset. “ Concern laces through his words while gentle eyes look over him. “ You can’t stay out here , it’s going to rain soon. “
❛ i’ve heard of it. ❜ he glances up at the sky. he didn’t know much about it, except only the fabulous and wealthy could get up there. this guy must be a big deal. he thinks ace even went there a few times. he remembers him mentioning it.

they speak sometimes like this, late at night when the candles are burning low and most other people have gone to bed. he doesn’t know why claude seeks his counsel on certain things; he had never thought himself smart or clever. especially not in regards to important things. and claude seemed to be much smarter than him. but he doesn’t mind.
it’s at the end of one of those nights when he leans up to kiss claude’s cheek, gentle. he’s going to escape back to his room before he can realize exactly what he’s done. he can’t bear to look at claude’s face, already starting to hurry away. ❛ goodnight, claude. ❜
