Cano Cristales, Colombia
Located east of the Andes in Colombia, the Caño Cristales river (sometimes called the 'Liquid Rainbow') bursts into vibrant colors for a few weeks between September and November. This is caused by an aquatic plant, called 'Macarenia clavigera,' which turns the river red, pink, yellow, orange, green and blue.
