Commission for @liquidlyrium of a scene from her fic On the Birth of Trembling Winter.
Aaa that's so funny I was also just thinking about your reverse omens! (I am hungry for reverse omens right now apparently..) If you have anything about them I'd love to see!
omg!! it’s been a while since i’ve touched this AU, but someday i’ll get back to it, i swear
my reverse boys Azra and Crowley are basically their canon selves, but Crowley is both a little more reserved and a little more angry, and Azra is just like, sad. you know Dust and Ashes from the Great Comet musical? that’s his theme song
but ahhh, here, have a snippet too:
Azra could be cold. He could make himself stone, even in the face of Crowley and his sudden terrible vulnerability. He could even be cruel, because he’s a demon and that's what they do. But even at his most bitter, his most angry, freshly Fallen and screaming at God, he doesn’t think he has ever been capable of that.
liquidlyrium replied to your post “liquidlyrium said: I got the second game for free with Xbox gold and I...”
I mean your mileage may vary and maybe playing Witcher 1 will make Witcher 2 make more sense/less terrible context wise?? IDK. It was just... a lot (TM) ........also the controls for W2 were not my favorite lol
AHHHH. I see what you mean. The Witcher was sort of ... tactical, with a lot of pausing and switching combat styles. The Witcher 2 is just ... ‘here are a billion hot keys you need to use at once, and apparently you can’t block and move at the same time’. I successfully block an attack, but now I can’t use the opening because the enemy is too far away.
A bunch of soldiers confessed to attempted rape in a ‘Ha ha, it’s funny because it’s a novel reference!’ sort of way. Apparently Foltest had even more trouble keeping his pants on than Geralt (although, after ‘had a daughter with his own sister’ his other ... exploits don’t have much shock value). And. I have stealthed out of this damn dungeon four times without killing anybody. And every time Roche insists I caused a bloodbath.
So now I’m just sitting here seething. Not. Going. Well.
Li’l comic commission for @liquidlyrium! This was super fun to experiment with, especially since I haven’t done any comic work in a few years. I also just really love these dumb brothers.

liquidlyrium replied to your photoset “Just a smattering of AU snippets. I needed to reset my art brains so...”
I love this AU very much and it makes me wish I knew anything about dark souls/bloodborne so that I could appreciate it fully XD
Yup, Bloodborne is dense with lore and doesn’t care if you find it all or not, but appreciates the effort. XD So for the uninitiated, here’s my best stab at a quick summary of plot, and here’s a video that dives deeper into it, if that’s more your jam. Otherwise, I overall am trying to portray this AU in such a way that you don’t need to know everything about Bloodborne to follow what’s going on.
Well, I’m trying to anyway.
#5 for the PacRim AU? I know it's still in progress so I guess this is more "do you plan on using an outline for it/are you using an outline for it?"
You’re just gonna call me out like this aren’t you ;p
There’s no outline, there’s just a grab bag of things I want to have happen. Which is why it spans so much time. It’s actually tripping me up, because I want to collect it in some manner for AO3, but I lack the fortitude to tell the story from like the first Kaiju attack and Jack, Gabe, Ana, and the rest of old Overwatch joining up to the closing of the rift. But I’ve got all these things that span that time frame, from so many points of view, and bleh. I love it but it’s a dumpster fire, organizationally speaking.
Actually, I’m getting to the end of stories in that universe I want to tell. Which probably means I gotta watch pacrim again oh no how sad for me
#3 for suit up!
#3: What’s your favorite line of narration?
When Jesse does move, he walks towards Hanzo with quick, heavy steps, crossing the distance in two long strides before cupping his face and kissing him.
This was the turning point of the fic, the moment they finally gave in. Up until this point, they’d been doing a little dance; who was going to make the first move? Hanzo was a little in denial, afraid of ruining what they had even though he wanted it desperately. Jesse was just as desperate, he was practically aching for it, but at the same time, was caught in that same dance. He made a small move with the kiss on the cheek, but he was testing the waters, waiting for Hanzo to meet him halfway, and it all came to a head in this moment.
When writing this chapter, this scene really stuck out for me. I can see the look on Jesse’s face when he abandons his rampage and lets Hanzo’s words sink in, I can hear Jesse’s boots hitting the pavement so clearly in my mind, and the relief I felt, not only as the writer, but for Hanzo, putting everything on the line and ending with this kiss, it was just so incredibly rewarding.
The world works in such mysterious ways, you bookmark my story and tungler is recommending you to me what are the odds???
indeed it does :o
