“No, you …” Thera stops, breaking off her words with a lowered brow and resigned ‘huff’ that sounds a little reminiscent of Oscar the Grouch. She was going to say, ‘no you’re not’ but she knows it’s not going to do much good; when Liron makes up her mind, it stays made, and she’s almost as stubborn as Thera herself.
“Haven’t you figured out yet that I just lead you into trouble?”
Liron shrugged. “I don’t care; trouble seems to like me too. At least when I’m following you into trouble, the company’s good.” She smiled crookedly.
She slipped her shrunken swords into their wrist-sheaths, hidden well behind her sleeves. “Besides, I don’t think anyone at the Compound will mind me being gone for a while; I’ve already told Agent Davidson where I’ve gone...or rather, that I’m going somewhere with you, so she knows not to worry much.”

Natasha smiled, nodding. “I am… I want to try… And I want it to be you…” She said and chuckled at her question. “I don’t know… Do you want to do it now?” She asked as she smiled up at her. “I… I do want to but if you’d rather wait, I can understand…” She gave her a small nod and another gentle smile
Liron chewed her lip. On one hand, yes, she really wanted to do this and now was a perfect time, but on the other hand...what if she hurt Nat on accident? Her wife’s transition from mortal to...changeling might be the best term in this case...was still in progress; what if Liron’s magic surged and messed something up? Yet on that first hand...Natasha was comfortable enough with Liron to want this, and she seemed to want it now. And if something happened, most likely Liron was powerful enough and their bond was strong enough that whatever damage her magic did she could fix on instinct even if it was draining.
...She was worrying too much. She wasn’t some adolescent experiencing magic surges any time a pretty someone smiled at her or her emotions were a little intense. She had control over what her magic did, and she had enough control that she could keep any accidental harm from coming to Natasha.
“Now is good with me.” Liron smiled and kissed her love’s nose.

Amelia stifled a chuckle, glancing around the quite decked out ballroom. “Yeah, well, no one ever said the rich and powerful were thrifty,” she commented quietly so only Liron could hear her. “We’re just here to keep the peace for tonight, make sure things run smoothly.”
Liron nodded slightly. “I will be very glad when we’re done and I can put normal clothes on again. I feel like a doll.”
She popped her knuckles absently, looking around. “I also don’t smell any danger, aside from the high likelyhood of a good few missteps on the dance floor from that one young woman in the aqua dress who looks like this is the first time she’s ever worn heels that high.”
imxthexhandler answered:
“You did what?” Amelia questioned, surprised, trying not to laugh at the mental image. “Alright. I’ll be right down. I’ll get it cleared up,” she promised before hanging up and heading downstairs to the main lobby with security.
About ten minutes later, she was in the room with Liron, smiling apologetically. “Well, that got sorted… I guess with the, uh, holidays approaching, some employees have been getting in touch with their ‘holiday spirits’, shall we say?”
Liron smiled blandly, trying to look as sober as possible, which wasn’t that hard. It wasn’t like anything she drank could get her drunk in the first place...she’d just wanted to have a little bit of fun. She liked the snow; it was soft and pretty and soothing.
The agents who’d caught her making snow angels nodded a little in understanding, and cast her an amused if slightly disapproving look. The shorter one spoke. “Alright. Let’s keep it more under control though, yeah? It wouldn’t look good if one of the most dangerous people in the world got drunk enough to think it was a good idea to-...” He cut himself off.

“I… I did..” Nat said as she held onto the nearby chair for support. “W-Why? And why am I seeing black dots?”
Liron let out a slow breath. “That goblet was full of a poison I was studying.”
She strode over to her wife and scooped her into her arms, holding her close. “You’re not gonna die, love. I promise.”
delicatelysharp answered:
“No idea, really. But it’s beautiful anyway. One more great question for humanity.” She laughed.
“Indeed.” Liron ran a hand through her hair, then stepped away from the display, eyes darting around to take in the rest of the shop.
“I’m not feeling so good…”
Liron’s face went pale, and then tinged blue faintly, barely restrained fear in her voice. “Tasha, love, did you drink from the silver goblet on my desk in the study?”
