I meant to post this earlier but I went from a big work crisis to vacation with my family out of the country I'm taking a bit of a hiatus from Tumblr and writing

It's not what I want but it's important for me right now

Nothing life-altering or really bad is happening, but there are parts of my life I've keep private or blurry to all of you and they need more attention. Spending hours on my computer is not unfortunately interfering with that and the easiest (only) way to manage is to go cold turkey for a little while

I miss you all and I hope one or two of you still remember me when I come back. This is a special community and it's weird to think that I've actually made friends here but it's true

This is not a goodbye, but a see you soon

Working on Jeremiah and Drew's emeto-heavy fic and of course it took me more than 1,500 words to even get to the start of the good part. 😂 Gonna be a wild ride though (literally; they're in a car)

Emeto ideas?

Haven't written a lot of pure emeto lately. Thinking of a couple of possible ideas that are plot relevant but mostly emeto fluff.

I'm obsessed with the Olympics, anyone else? Like, a night of mixed doubles curling? Yes, please. Debating how well a freestyle skier "buttered" the pipe? Guhhhh. And don't get me started on ice dancing.

The bad news:

I have to trash about 1,000 words of my next fic in the Avery/Adam arc because it just isn't working. I've been going in circles and haven't been excited about writing it because it wasn't doing what I wanted. Plus I've been too busy at work and had houseguests all weekend and was sick on top of it, so trying to find time to figure out what was wrong and fix it was impossible.

The good news:

@writing-whump talked through some things with me and gave me a much better direction, and gave me the courage to get rid of what I'd already written (I hate hate hate deleting). So now I have to kind of start over but I feel better about where I'm going. So I apologize if this part takes a bit longer. Thank you to everyone who's checked in, interacted, read my other stuff, etc.

Checking in and what's next

Like a lot of us, I've been gorging myself on all of @bellysoupset's amazing content lately. I feel truly spoiled and indulged. Add in a very busy American Thanksgiving and an unexpected health crisis that landed me in the ER twice (I'm okay now and seeking follow up care), and I haven't been able to write as much as I wanted. (And oh yeah, work is fucking exploding).

However I have finally been able to write and hope to have a Noa/Rory story to post early this week. It's hinting at the start of their next arc. After that is some Adam/Avery drama that's going to suck in everyone else. December is always a little dicey and I get a beachy vacation at the end of the month, but hope to at least get Adam and Avery's nonsense launched before the end of the year. Love you all!

Stopping short of an absolute promise, but manifesting to the universe that I want to get the next fic in Avery's shooting arc finished and posted today. I'm coming up on a really tough work week so my writing time will be limited.
