He had a voice like buttered wholemeal toast, an attitude as prickly as a cactus and was the epitome of a loyal friend.

I'd forgotten just how magnificent this moment is... the first moments of his last appearance of Nicholas Courtney as the (former) Brigadier, Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge Stuart, reunited with Lis Sladen's Sarah Jane Smith in her spin off series.

I'm so glad that, even if Courtney never appeared in the main series after it's return, he DID get to come back for this all-too-brief reunion.

Sarah Jane Smith made her debut 51 years ago today on “The Time Warrior.”

During my rewatch of it this summer, I had forgotten it was Sarah Jane’s first appearance and focused more on the new intro with the floating Pertwee of doom.
