I feel daniel favorite disney movie could be Lilo and Stitch, think with me, is from the 2000s, has spaceship aesthethic, shows a lonely weird kid that has a up and down relationship with her older sister, has weird and disgustly adorable creature (daniel enjoys zombies and stuff), and it's message is about not matter how complicated and difficult you may be, people that care for you will forever love you and will never give up on you

just like nani, that lilo is pretty much the reason for things not working out and makes her life so much more harder, she still wants to stay and take care of her little sister no matter what

And lilo with Stitch, stitch is such a chaotic weird creature, no one would want the company of that thing, but she still loves and cares for him, she managed to love him even with all the difficulties that he give and flaws
