“how is business?” karyna begins. it had been forever since she’d sat down with lisette, and even though she knew the answer wouldn’t be ‘good’ she hoped that she’d be proven wrong. she liked to see royals who branched out to find a career, it was nice to know that they had options that weren’t marrying the first powerful man who set their eyes on them. even if it was her life’s path, that didn’t mean she wanted the exact same for everyone else, “i hope the hit wasn’t too substantial.”

“it’s not short enough, i don’t think,” selene stated, as she stepped out of the dressing room and gave her assistant a twirl. the dress was adorable: perfect, even. but it sat at her knee, which made it less than ideal for selene. she wouldn’t be caught dead in something this long in public. “wait - lisette, right? you’re a designer, this would be much better suited if it were... this short, don’t you agree?” she pointed at the mid-thigh, just a little higher than was ever considered proper.
