Our Morning Offering – 3 March
Litany of Humility
Written by Rafael Cardinal Merry del Val (1865-1930), Secretary of State for Pope Saint Pius X
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being loved, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being extolled, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being honoured, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being praised, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being preferred to others, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being consulted, deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being approved, deliver me, O Jesus.
From the fear of being humiliated, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being despised, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of suffering rebukes, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being calumniated, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being forgotten, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being ridiculed, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being wronged, deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being suspected, deliver me, O Jesus.
That others may be loved more than I, O Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be esteemed more than I, grant me the grace to desire it. That, in the opinion of the world, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may increase and I may decrease, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be chosen and I set aside, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be praised and I unnoticed, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be preferred to me in everything, grant me the grace to desire it.

#askandyoushallreceive #pideysetedara #humildad #humility #litanyofhumility #catholicmom #letania #letaniadelahumildad #stellalandeo #perumates #instamoms #prayerlife #comoorar (at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/BynizKXg0io/?igshid=1kbcivr0d42ls
A beautiful and huge gothic library in Pennsylvania, that reminds one of Harry Potter ⚡️. I think of learning...I think of how it never ends, I think of how it takes for one to admit someone knows more than you do to be able to learn from them. How important the virtue of humility ... with it, relationships with those around us would be easier ... with it, we could learn more and from everybody. Have you heard of the Litany of humility? I learned if it’s existence a few years ago ... and I went to a Catholic school ⛪ ...anyway... it's beautiful ... and it makes one reflect ... I'll share it with you 💛 . . . . #cathedraloflearning #catholicmom #humility #litanyofhumility #learning #aprendizaje #letaniadelahumildad #humildad #aprenderhumildad #humbleheart #humbleandwise #humbleandkind #stellalandeo #nicunurse #strivingforsainthood #justtry #peruvianfamily #medicalfamily #perumates #instamoms #singingnurses (at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/Byi1Kl-AEm6/?igshid=c0iqvlgao8v
Our Morning Offering – 20 June – Wednesday Eleventh Week of Ord Time Year B – Today’s Gospel Matthew 6:1-6.16-18
Litany of Humility By Servant of God Cardinal Merry del Val (1865-1930)
He was accustomed to recite this prayer daily after the celebration of Holy Mass.
O Jesus meek and humble of heart, Hear me. From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being loved, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being extolled, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being honored, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being praised, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being preferred to others, Deliver me Jesus. From the desire of being consulted, Deliver me, Jesus. From the desire of being approved, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of being humiliated, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of being despised, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of suffering rebukes, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of being calumniated, Deliver, me, Jesus. From the fear of being forgotten, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of being ridiculed, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of being wronged, Deliver me, Jesus. From the fear of being suspected, Deliver me, Jesus.
That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be esteemed more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I may decrease, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be chosen and I set aside, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be praised and I unnoticed, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be preferred to me in everything, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may become holier than I, provided that I become as holy as I should, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. Amen

Death to self
Way more painful than I expected.
From the desire of being loved. Deliver me Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten. Deliver me Jesus.
From the fear of being despised. Deliver me Jesus.
That others may be chosen and I set aside. Jesus grant me the grace to desire it.
