anon, i’m a dfab demigirl and to me that means i have only the vaguest connection with my assigned gender. in fact, recently i’ve felt far more agender than anything, and am not feeling she pronouns at all.

“What,” Eren asks, once Carla has left the room to check the strawberry tarts slowly cooking in the oven. Sitting in the opposite couch, Armin crosses his arms.

“What what.”

Eren frowns. “What what what?”

“Boys,” Mikasa warns. They’re sitting in the living room and there’s a movie playing on mute in the Jaeger’s old school TV, a man in a trench coat and a femme fatale kissing in the streetlights. Armin squirms.

Eren hisses, “stop giving me crazy looks.”

“I’m just looking at you,” Armin hisses back, with all the conviction of someone telling the absolute truth.

“Is there any specific reason you’re looking my handsome son?” Carla asks as she walks into the room, and Armin jumps out of his skin.

“Mom.”

“Mom,” Carla parrots, playfully.

Mikasa hides a tiny smile behind a Seventeen magazine.

“I feel sick,” Armin announces after a few minutes, gives Eren a Significant look. Eren stares at him, and Armin raises an eyebrow.

“Oh.” Eren says after a moment. Then, “Oh.”

“Oh,” Mikasa echoes. Armin blows her a kiss and they’re out of the door less than 60 seconds later.
