Congrats!!! I'm struggling with IBS-c and no matter what i do it just won't calm down, i'd be very interested in knowing how you managed to control it!

the main thing that helped me was removing myself from stressful/toxic situations as that’s what triggered it really bad in the first place. but i also cut out a lot of fatty foods and started eating basic stuff like fruit, veg, rice, and food with high protein and fibre. idk if that would help everyone but it definitely helped me. good luck with it!! and i hope you feel better soon.

@litlefuglen I finally checked out the ASMR videos you recommended! I see how it could be relaxing but there’s something physically deeply unpleasant about it for me, it’s weird... But thanks for the suggestions!

it’s a luminotherapy lamp! Some people call them that, I guess because of pet lizards who stay next to their lamps, and I like the image so I call them that too

No I’m not, I never really felt like signing up, I had the impression it was really english-centric? And I read way too much English on the internet already, so I try to read in French when I’m reading for myself. And I feel terrible enough about myself when I’m not reading, I don’t want a website judging me haha

@litlefuglen maybe you could try aquarelle on stuff you don't care too much about? or get those colouring books for grownups (lmao) and practise on that, then it's ok if it's ruined because it's not one of your drawings? i was unable to colour in colouring books but i finally tried and there's way less pressure if it looks ugly lmao

I hadn’t considered that but yeah, it’s actually a really good idea! I think I’ll go buy an ugly one haha

It’s just a completely different way of thinking, I guess. To a Swede it just seems so inexplicably nebulous and I will never stop being amazed/shocked!

Oh, I can imagine the excellent Scandinavish practice can be equally painful to get in the beginning! But in other horrible news ;) - the practise of using wrongfully hans/hennes instead of sin/sitt is getting more widespread, at least among Swedes, so don’t worry too much about making mistakes! :)
