Beyond Borgen
“You arrive in the morning and you get a “klamamse”… “, right

? ;)
Lige præcis :) Klamamse = No.1 FAVOURITE DANISH WORD
ADORABLE!
Gosh, long time since I’ve been here.
Since I can’t comment (maybe some things changed, but I can’t see the comment bubble), just wanted to give @sidse-babett-knudsen the heads up about what “klamamse” means. It is (as @bluedogliebrarian discovered) a Danish slang to describe a very long and rather laborious text. So, if you have seen the whole video, she describes how she gets this huge text to learn by heart, using the very cute word “klamamse”.

Me, looking back at how many books i used to read: I love that bitch, she was going places.
The god of lowkey disappointments.
Reblog In 5 seconds for good luck
Hi. Could you please tell me if you have to rely on subtitles when watching Danish and Norwegian movies? And, with English-language productions, do you ever have trouble understanding actors when they speak extremely fast? Thanks.
Hello anon! Sorry for the delay, I don’t hang out here as much as I used to do, and this message somehow slipped under the radar...
In Danish am usually perfectly fine without subs, unless there’s some serious dialect stuff, like sønderjysk, going on. For Norwegian it’s so and so, some dialects are super easy to understand (when you know both Danish and Swedish you can put the two together and get Norwegian more or less ;)), while with others I am more or less lost without subs. I guess it’s the same with English for me, usually fine but at extreme speed or tricky dialects I’m pretty lost without subs, or I prefer the subs to be able to direct my attention to other things than merely figure out what people are sating.
Again, undskyld for a super late answer :)
One simply cannot go to København without visiting Borgen.

Hi. Big thank you for your fantastic blog. I love it so much. I was wondering if you might shine a light, my fav Sidse specialist, if the Borgen outtakes that were once available on DR website are possibly included on any Borgen DVDs?? Or God forbid, if they aren't is there any place I can see them? xx
Thank you dear anon for your kind words <3
I mourn the death of the original DR Borgen site too, and I am afraid that I have no answer for you if you can find these clips, as I don’t own the actual dvds myself (embarrassing, I know…), but maybe some of my followers and friends (@talcal for example?) can shed a light on this matter?
