The effects get a lot better! rose is the first (since 2005) so everyone compares the laters one to her. Each ep is written by one writer then they alternate who writes eps so the eps are super hit and miss??that got annoying for me but i still watch

thanks for replying! i love discussing shows :) anyway yeah, i get what you mean about rose..i am just really “either you love a character from the first episode or you don’t” so she never stood out to me all that much, but it’s not like i hate her or anything. and about the last part, i guess that’s a very popular problem with most of tv shows. when shows have disconnected episodes, it’s always like that, the episodes are either good or they suck, but if there are mostly good episodes and then a couple of crappy ones every once in a while a show is still good to me usually. but anyway i’m not talking about dw specifically, i maybe was expecting a different type of show in the sense that i thought the storylines would be more connected, while the “cases” are actually standalones and i find it a bit annoying, i want more character materials. for now the episodes that stood out to me were the empty child, the s1 finale (not becuase it was particularly good but it had nice insights on our society and it was witty and smart), the 1 ep with tennant and maybe the ep with queen victoria :/ I know i haven’t watched much yet but i hope the cases are gonna get more intriguing lol these ugly ass monsters make me laugh.
