All right. Finished one class. Well, technically, I’ve finished three classes, but the 7th graders didn’t have much to turn in this week. I’ve got two classes of 8th-grade essays left to read. And to be honest, the struggle there is that I just know they are going to mostly be half-assed since that is their tendency with everything and it’s the tendency I’ve noticed with the few I’ve read so far.

I swear. I don’t know what to do differently with them. Though this quarter, the essays are better than last time around. So, I am seeing improvement, but a lot of the problems I’m finding are because they ignored the directions and requirements.
