This place looks weird, and it feels weird too. Nothing about it was familiar to the child, who was taking in everything he could to give him a clue. But, so much information was too much for someone so young to process, so he gave up after a few minutes.

But, more importantly: where’s Richu?

Realizing that his dear younger brother wasn’t around with him brought worry to the little child, prompting the youngster to pick a random direction to start his search.

He didn’t know how much time he’d spent looking around, but he’d ended up on a busy street, which gave him plenty of stimuli that could distract him from looking for his younger brother. What could a young child do against all the interesting and colorful things displayed in some of the shops? There’s a really nice smell wafting through the air as well, and it was making the child’s stomach grumble.

Lured by the appetizing scent, he followed the trail, pausing every once in a while to sniff the air, checking if he’s on the right track. This went on until he reached a pastry shop. The child stopped by the window, ogling the pretty treats displayed. Richu might like them---

At the thought of Richu, the child was reminded that he’s still missing, but he’s hungry...What a dilemma and it wasn’t one he was prepared to take care of by himself. As a result, the child started tearing up, and cried for his brother.

Was the muse a cute baby?

- (( At the risk of sounding like some cheap vampire lit, Rei as a baby wasn’t only cute, but very pretty.

- (( Unless you mean ‘cute’ as in ‘annoying’, then let’s just say that he’s quite the little devil in his early childhood. Most of his relatives hate having to babysit him, but his parents have them do it anyway ‘for the lulz’.

- (( This family is a bunch of weirdos.

Did your muse have any strong attachments to specific people outside of their immediate family? If so, who are they?

- (( Being a genius ‘vampire’ kid didn’t make it easy for Rei to form any strong attachments to people outside of his family, seeing as the ordinary ones were quick to fall under his charm, and would in turn become mindless drones of sorts that cling to his every word.

- (( The closest he’d had to a ‘friend’ would be Keito, but Keito had distanced himself from Rei before they even got anywhere.

- (( In other words, it was a pretty lonely childhood...

Did your muse have a favorite toy that they absolutely can’t go without?

- (( Aside from stuffed animals, Rei has this toy guitar, given by one of his more...eccentric uncles. Some of his more traditional relatives might have frowned upon it, but the child adored it regardless.

- (( Even though he’d moved on to actual (electric) guitars, that toy guitar holds a special place on his bedroom shelf, and it still works.

- (( Not really; Rei would usually eat whatever food’s served to him without question. It’s only when he grew into his teens that he became picky.

- (( Growing up in a vampire household made Rei more used to being around or surrounded by the usual ‘childhood fears’, so it’s kind of an unfair comparison here. |D;;; In fact, his usual hangout as a child is a cemetery, and he goes there alone.

- (( As for childhood ideas, Rei was interested in the ‘Dracula’ myths/legends, and had even thought of becoming like him once he matures into an adult. While his thoughts may have changed as time passed, he still kept some aspects of his childhood dream and used them as inspirations.

- (( The first light of day, the warmth of the sun, although those would bring about lethargy instead of a typical ‘good night’s’ sleep.

a warm non-sweetened drink

the warmth of the sun ( ...yes really )
