I'm back with another tag! Yay! This time, it's the Alphabet Book Tag and I was tagged by forthe-love-of-books. I tag littlebibliophile72 to do this next, and you if you're looking for an excuse to do it. Let's get started, shall we?
Author you’ve read the most - Cassandra Clare, as I've read all of the Mortal Instruments, and most of the Infernal Devices. I love her whole universe she's created, it's great escapism.
Best sequel ever - Heir of Fire, by Sarah J. Maas. I really love the storyline of the Throne of Glass series, and Heir of Fire is the best so far! It's set things up so well for the rest of the books in the series.
Currently reading - To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee & The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, by Douglas Adams. This is not through choice, though; I was partway through Hitchhiker's when I had to re-read Mockingbird for my English class, and so I've had to put Hitchhiker's on the back burner for a while. I hope to spend a day reading soon, so that I can finish Mockingbird and get back to reading one book again.
Drink of choice while reading - A nice hot chocolate in a large mug :)
E-reader or physical book? - It depends on the book… If it's quite a large book, then having it on an e-reader is a lot more convenient. I can carry it around with me more. Also, an e-reader allows me to take multiple books with me to places at once. I do ultimately prefer physical books over electronic ones tough.
Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in HS - Probably Simon from the Mortal Instruments series, or maybe Michael Moscovitz from the Princess Diaries series.
Glad you gave this book a chance - Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. It took me a couple of tries to get into it, but when I did I greatly enjoyed it.
Hidden gem book - Wonder, by R.J. Palacio. It's a beautiful book that more people need to read.
Important moment in your reading life - Starting this book blog. Despite only having this blog for a few months, I have already made some nice internet friends, and have been able to join blogging schemes that have let me explore different types of books that I previously wouldn't have gone near.
Just finished - All I Know Now, by Carrie Hope Fletcher (Review going up soon!)
Kind of books you won’t read - I won't read horror books, like the stuff Stephen King does. Although I daresay I will read one of his books at some point in the future, I highly doubt I will enjoy it.
Longest book you’ve read - City of Heavenly Fire, by Cassandra Clare. I have got a longer book in Les Misérables, but I haven't had the time to start that one yet.
Major book hangover because of - Heir of Fire, by Sarah J. Maas. It was such a good book, and I really want to know what happens next, but I have to wait until September for it!
Number of bookcases you own - I have three bookshelves; one little one at the end of my bed, one large one next to my bed, and one rainbow shelf on top of my clothes drawers.
One book you’ve read multiple times - Wow, there's a lot to choose from… I think I'll go with The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green, as it's such a good book to binge read. It's my go to book when I'm in a slump.
Preferred place to read - I like reading in my bed, as I can flop around on the fluffy blanket, but there is an armchair in the living room that is quite deep so I can curl up in it and read for ages.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read - "We accept the love we think we deserve" Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Reading regrets - Buying books that interest me at the time, then not getting round to reading them. They just end up sitting on my shelf and looking really dejected...
Series you started and need to finish - The Luna Chronicles, by Marissa Meyer. I fell in love with Cinder, but Scarlet was taking me too long to read at one point so I started another book… I regret it now, because I really want to continue the series, but I'm worried I won't enjoy Scarlet again…
Three of your All-Time favorite books - Umm… Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell; The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green & The Night Circus, by Erin Morgernstern
Unapologetic fangirl/fanboy for - I don't really have any series or books that I am ashamed to love… Harry Potter is very accepted, as is The Hunger Games… I guess the Mortal Instruments? I love the whole Shadowhunter universe, including the Infernal Devices.
Very excited for this release more than all the others - Go Set A Watchman, by Harper Lee. I really like To Kill A Mockingbird (as long as I don't HAVE to read it, and I'm just reading it for my own enjoyment), so I want to know more about what happens to Scout and Jem.
Worst bookish habit - Re-reading the same books or genre that I know I like, rather than exploring others.
X marks the spot: start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book - Paper Towns, by John Green
Your latest book purchase - Simon Vs. The Homosapiens Agenda, by Becky Albertalli
ZzZ-snatcher book: last book that kept you up WAY too late - I haven't had that much time to read recently, so I guess it would be Crown of Midnight, by Sarah J. Maas. This one kept me up longer than the rest of the series, though I'm not sure why.
