Me too! I feel like you’ve been an underdog in this damned fandom for so long even though you’ve been around forever, have reasonable views, and work hard for your muse and your edits. I admire you for still lingering around, and I have to say your writing is amazing. I hope that we will talk more in the future! So far we get along amazing.

Surprise painted the round face of the heir as his younger brother did something he never had before. Was he attempting to protect his big brother as Ciel always did for him? While they were both fearful of what could be at the skirts of the forest of their home (where they were told not to venture to alone), it was also shocking to see the younger one make an attempt to be brave.

It was a choice whether or not to poke fun at him, but ultimately Ciel decided to let his sibling have this one as best he could. And so he remained behind his brother's back as they awaited the arrival of the mysterious creature that hid within the bushes before them.

‘ What do you think it is...? ’

He couldn't let the other see him in a weakened state. No. He was the older brother. He had to protect his younger twin. He had to remain strong. Always. Yet... They had gotten lost in a crowded and busy London city; one of the few times they were able to venture out of their estate together. And somehow... Somehow they managed to be separated from their parents. It had only been a few minutes passed, but finding their mother and father through the crowd was proving difficult. How foolish of him to run off when a particular store had caught his eye! The gnawing fear of anxiety bubbling in him led his tiny frame to shake, but he did not notice it until the other had spoken.

‘ I'm fine. I'll make sure we get back to mother and father. I won't let anything happen to you. ’

Although the manor had plenty of candles and hearths to go around for light and warmth, the heavy storm raging over the estate having knocked the power was enough to frighten the poor soul enough to keep him from going to bed. Just like his twin, storms were not something he favored, but he wouldn't admit to that. Not in front of the other boy or his family.

Ciel wasn't one to wake easily, but the weather had been too nice for him to remain so when the feeling of something soft gently landed on him. One bottle blue orb slowly opened and then the other to see just what it was, but to his surprise it was his little brother placing a cover over him, in that case a jacket rather. Petite digits rubbed at his eyes to further wake himself just before pulling himself up from the hallway chaise. It was clear in his softened tone that he had tired himself out early.

‘ Is it okay for you to be out of bed? Are you feeling better than this morning? ’

                   rachel had been occupied,  a rarity for the countess to miss luncheon with her children but the responsibilities of a matriarch could hardly go undealt with.   how does vincent do it?   all she can think of are her children                                to tousle their hair   &   pepper kisses upon rosy cheeks.     the desire was distracting,   to say the least.

            just a little break,  she convinces herself.             though you’d think she was a child sneaking a biscuit before dinner with her tip-toeing across the manor                           body language much too suspiciously conspicuous for the lady of the house.          she had stealthily left the library,  too preoccupied with shutting the large,  heavy oak doors as soundlessly as possible to notice the sudden sneak attack!   little hands had found themselves around her legs,  a sorrowful cry for  mummy  muffled into the layers of her dress.          astre trailed closely behind him    &    at the sight of her also runs up to hug her.   rachel,  of course,  returns the gesture in full,   taking them into her arms   &   was most  unwilling  to let go.

          “  my little angels!!  ”        she gives them each a kiss.   then another for good measure.   “i was just about to look for your both   &   here you are beating me to it.   i have missed you both dearly.   ardently.   fervently.”

That question was undoubtedly unfair to ask in his conception, after all there was no doubt the little boy had missed him so much. ❝ I did! I did, a lot! ❞ tiny hands embraced the other quite fondly, a gensuine smile sprouted on his lips s well.
