Writing ask game for youuuu 💗🌸 what do you think is the most important part of writing? + what is your speed when writing? Hope you're having a good week so far!

Hi Rae!! My week has been very rainy and hot so far but otherwise okay! I hope you're having a good week, too. Thank you so much for swinging by with these!

What do I think is the most important part of writing? This is a tough one because I think there are a lot of important aspects of writing a good story. Character development, motivation, flow, consistency of voice... But ultimately I think it all boils down to emotion. I think however you can create emotion, whether its with strong characters that you love (or love to hate!), descriptions, prose, pacing - that's really the most important thing. I think when I can connect with a story and feel something while I'm reading it... it doesn't matter so much what the story is about or even if I like the characters. I'll care deeply if I can feel. So when I write I think I try the hardest when it comes to making sure that readers will feel some kind of emotional connection.

What is my speed when writing? Are you familiar with the tortoise and the hare? Spoiler alert - I am not the hare. There are times when I can get big chunks done at a time, but then there are other times when I spend days and days just piecing together a few paragraphs. The latest chapter of SB, for example? I wrote about 5k of that in the last 3 days, but the other 4k and change was a slow drip over like... months. It used to bother me more. Now I've sort of accepted that I write at my own pace and there's nothing wrong with that. I've tried to rush it before and I've ended up less happy with the end result. Slow and steady gets the worm or whatever. haha.

Uuu, what a lovely name! Let’s see, hmm. Okay, maybe something like this:

Pero Tovar x reader

Tropes: sunshine/grump, flower shop AU, friends to lovers, modern AU

Summary: Pero Tovar has recently relocated to a new area, something where he can hopefully find his love for metalworking again. While the old place, a thriving shop in the artisan district he operated with his friend William was everything they had dreamt together, lately Pero has been feeling clogged and his work monotone.

The new shop - an idea from William - is located next to a small flower shop and on the first day Pero manages to set a fire in the back alley he shares with the florist, destroying a new shipment of flower seeds, the rare peony moonrises. It doesn’t help that he finds himself completely tongue-tied by the owner when he goes in to apologize and offer amends, so it goes about as well as you’d imagine.

As time goes on, Pero finds himself growing closer to his neighbor and romantic feelings arise. Will the Sunfall festival be the perfect time to make a move?

5. Ezra: Is there a role or genre you would love to see Pedro take on?

Hello Rae! Thanks so much for asking and a HUGE thank you for coming up with this ask game in the first place. I love it! 😀 There are a few roles and/or genres I would love to see Pedro take on.

Every time I see Pedro's performance as Marcus Pike, I constantly think to myself "If I were an agent, I'd show a clip reel of him as Pike to anyone and everyone who was looking for someone to play the lead male in a romantic comedy." Seriously. He's perfect for it!!

Another genre I'd love to see him do is murder mystery or film noir. I keep having this fantasy of him as a detective from the 1940s or 1950s. Imagine him in the hat, suit, and trench coat. He'd be tracking down killers, smoking cigarettes, and falling for women that may or may not be trustworthy. *dreamy sigh*

For selfish and academic reasons I'd love to see him take on a Shakespeare villain or hero either on stage or in a film, someone like Benedick from "Much Ado About Nothing" or Iago from "Othello."

Lastly, I'd love to see him in a heavy drama film, either one based on a novel, play, or an original story. I was so blown away by how he delivered those emotional scenes near the end of WW84 and I'd love to see him do more of that. More crying, more angst, etc. because he can totally do it. Plus I love drama films so much.

(Totally unrelated note but I love your videos so much! I've been so busy with work that I haven't had time to comment on them but I'm planning to do a quick write-up on "Wait For It" soon because I'm obsessed with it.)

him doing a movie with ari aster or jordan peele could be really interesting, but it would also be cool if he did some more movies with female directors like chloé zhao or greta gerwig and i would lose it if he did a movie with guillermo del toro

and if we're talking actors then definitely diego luna or oscar isaac (one movie isn't enough lmao), but i think if he was in a movie with lady gaga ...... that's probably the craziest thing i can think of

Whatever the power is to make me not be fucking sleepy all the time. Flight, probably. I fly a lot in my dreams, actually! idk why.

11. Which sequel movie is the best? Kingsman Golden Circle, The Equalizer 2, or WW84? Bonus: what other sequel would you like to see Pedro have a part in?

The Equalizer 2, mainly for thirst reasons, but also because it's got a better story structure than the other two, lmao.

19. Which Pedro character would you want as your best friend?

Greg from Undressed. I feel like we'd vibe. (Obviously I'd have to do some gentle educating on the fact that Bisexual Men Exist and That's Okay™, but hey, it was a gay soap opera from the late 90's lmao)
