First Post! Woo-hoo!

I’ll be sharing about my boyfriends and I’s weekend getaway to Mendocino. We live just outside of San Francisco and the trip took about 3.5 hours to get to Mendocino/Fort Bragg/Little River, Ca.

Our first stop was glass beach (located in Fort Bragg) — a must for all instagramers. To my disappointment, it was very underwhelming. The beautiful sea glass filled beach you see all over the internet doesn’t quite match up with real life.

Don’t get me wrong, it was a gorgeous day and the beach was beautiful, just a little underwhelming.

Next stop was lunch, and luckily enough just two minutes down the road is North Coast Brewery. A must stop for the beer lover (such as myself). We grabbed some beers, and their chicken pesto pizza - which my boyfriend swears was the best he had, and caught the Warriors game.

After the game we decided to head to our hotel- The Heritage House Resort in Little River, Ca. Let me tell you- we absolutely loved our time here! From the adorable hotel front, to the beautiful grounds, we felt completely relaxed. Truly a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle back home.

We spent hours lounging in our beautiful room with ocean views, a giant bathtub, as well as walking around the resort taking in the fresh air and breath taking views. Stopping at their lounge and deck for a drink, of course!

We ended the night with dinner at their restaurant, which was very tasty and (again) the views were to die for. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

Overall, I highly recommend a visit up the coast to these cities as well as this resort (these are my own opinions, and not sponsored by the resort).

Reminiscing about this trip makes me eager to plan the next getaway with the boyfriend, where should we go next?!
