Took the 2.75 year old to the track for the first time yesterday. It was so I could run, he was supposed to go to the playground next door but he got involved. Ran his first 400m, ducked under some hurdles on the way and followed up with a crack at the long jump. All the time while shouting “go runners”. Tugged at the proud dad strings a bit. Just a bit as the 400m lap was a bit slow. Work to be done. But then to be fair to the lad he was wearing Spider-Man wellies and jeans rather than Nike Vaporfly Elites. #running #littlerunner (at Southampton Sports Centre)
