@littlestwarrior Thank you!!! It depends on the taxidermist, but since most people send bears out to get tanned and tanning/shipping is expensive they usually get tossed out. Sometimes they get home tanned and frozen for scrap pieces in case a bear mount slips or is missing a nail etc. Occasionally the client will want it and pay for a full tan, but it’s most common that it just kind of goes unused :( it can be legally difficult/impossible to sell bear parts to many states too, so most guys just don’t have a use for it.
