Y'all are out there turning books like Powerless and lightlark into movies/series BUT WHAT ABOUT CARAVL??? Like caraval is the most perfect choice if you want to make a live action out of fantasy series.

I'm so tired of that decade and its obsession for reboots and live actions. From original characters down to dull hollier than thou without any other personality than their sexuality and being painfully overly positive and fake to the lack of creativity and talent.
WITCH, Winx, Monster High and all the disney reboots... Is that really the type of content we'll have to deal with?
Even the new season of Card Captor Sakura is painfully boring, if not for nostalgia it's messy and only here for designs.
EDIT: I forgot that Totally Spies also fell into that curse, even if they aren't the worst on the list.
As a claymore fan I'm really conflicted with my feelings about the live action whole thing, I'm utterly terrified and excited at the same time.
This can came out really good or terribly wrong, Claymore has a beautiful story and with how feminism has grown these last years I think it can get well received between the female and male community for equal, my big issue is not only about the poor CGI that it will surely be used, but seeing how many of my favorite characters have been treated by the Hollywood industry (Severus Snape coff coff) I'm afraid many of my baby girls will be utterly change just to fit some kind of agenda and that will totally change so many things about the story and why claymores are the way they are.
But if this is done good and Hollywood try to stick to the story and the characters as how they are really, then Claymore can arise and maybe we even can see a complete animation of our favorite manga. But they really need to be careful because Claymore has really loyal fan base who they can either exploit or make them drown this project.
I don't know, I think the only thing I can do for now is to see how this goes and hope for the best, we either can get some really good thing that makes Claymore to be in the eye of the world and we get more official merch or we can get some bullshit that will bury the story at least another 20 years.
My favourite versions of some characters:
. Percy Jackson:
. Annabeth Chase:
. Grover:
. Tyson:
. Clarisse:
Anya's actress in the SxF musical are so cuuuteeee 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Why do they keep making live action versions of anime that doesn't translate well to non-animation? Try a slice of life, you cowards. Actually don't. I still don't think there's any reason to turn anime into live actions. How boring. But if you're going to anyway, can you stop doing shit that needs a crapton of cgi to work in the first place???
so the original scooby doo live actions are obviously unparalleled but the second ones are also brilliant and have some real gems in them, such as
-them all becoming friends after being thrown in detention together (im an absolute sucker for this trope)
-velma running in zigzags because that’s how you avoid getting caught by like an alligator or something i don’t remember
-“you have microscope slides?”
*pulling out microscope* what good is a microscope without slides?”
-daphnes like i have some wheels we can use and they walk through her garage of incredible cars and they’re excited and then she’s like yeah it’s this crappy red van
-then they paint it! to be the mystery machine!
-in curse of the lake monster fred and daphne get together because fred caught her when she fell out a window. this leads to shaggy thinking that he should be in love with velma because She caught Him when he fell off the mystery machine. shockingly this relationship does not work out
-daphne and fred dramatically breaking up whilst being trapped in a boat that’s rapidly filling with water
-the musical numbers, holy shit i love these So Much they are incredible and i sing them on a daily basis
-“we’ve been rocking it since 1969” hell yeah you have you groovy lil dudes
-i don’t care what you say the cast of these movies were great yes of course the cast of the originals were incredible, but these guys were too! they were cute, they were funny, they were clearly having a good time. they’re good and i love them.
-one time i watched scooby doo curse of the lake monster on repeat for a full 3 days
