The COVID 19 pandemic represents an unprecedented emergency and it is effecting the key sectors to global food security, nutrition and livelihood, including the livestock sector considering by national policy makers to mitigate the impact of COVID 19 on the sector. The animal husbandry sector, there is a sharp decline in dairy, meat, poultry, goat and aquaculture.
The Government has announced several relief packages in order to reduce the impact of coronavirus effects like Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yogna for goat, poultry and pig, Central government has also announced the setting up the animal husbandry infrastructure..
Therefore, the youth and farmers, especially the labours coming from other states may get employment through animal husbandry to invest on input and thereby driving higher productivity and leading to an increase in farmers' income. They may take benefits of different schemes of state and central government in dairy, poultry, goat, pig and aquaculture for employment as well as to improve their socioeconomic status.
