I gotta say this is a trip - my Danny phantom memories are planted firmly in 2005-2006 and TAZ is so *now* that this feels like a severe culture clash to me but I would LOVE to see where this goes.

I came into DP later and have been writing fanfic for it on and off pretty much ever since, so I never had to deal with any sort of whiplash. *grins* I’m glad you liked this, though! If you haven’t, I’d encourage you to check out the linked post to the anon’s ask to see the larger picture they envisioned around that prompt.

Inageya! The brand is こだわりさくらいろたまご and they’re a little pricier, but I want to reduce plastic anyway and they claim to have a good environment for the chickens...

Once, I told a close friend that I liked living in Japan, but had to leave before it ruined me. She said “Ruins you? What the hell does that mean?” and looked at me with such bewilderment that I couldn’t begin to try to explain. Six or seven years later, I’m still here, still hoping to go home someday, have had multiple close friends diagnose me as a lifer, and now dungus fucking twimp is systematically dismantling democracy in my country, and sometimes I have so many ugly, conflicting, chopped-up, muddled emotions that I feel like monjayaki. Which is a longwinded way of saying that I may be very lost, but it is immensely reassuring if even a little bit of my word salad resonated with you. It will be fine because it will always, eventually, be fine. Gamba and gaman and neba-neba give up, right?
