One of the many old, gnarly and impressive live oaks (Quercus virginiana) in Baton Rouge. If you are ever here, tour the LSU campus for both the live oaks and some amazing crepe myrtles. Tomorrow I travel to Lake Charles, hopefully Tropical storm Cindy will be on its way towards the Carolinas.
