I've never used this as an excuse, I've done everything I can to not let people see the expression of pain on my face. I've gone to so many doctors and specialists that I love count, 18 surgeries on my face, convulsion attacks awake and asleep, cerebral paresthesis, becoming a father, doing my best to raise my kids, being a step dad and soon to be husband. Not a day goes by that I don't have to deal with SOMETHING because of this stupid thing. But you know what? I wake up the next day and life is good. Sure there's challenges, sure it gets hard, sure I make and lose relationships, some days ARE better than others. I look the way I look, sound the way I sound and just because I am considered disabled, doesn't mean that I don't go through the same things all of you do. Humanity can be equal with individual challenges. This is me, someone who has KTS. That red is more than just blood surfaced, it's also on the hand that I will use to shake YOUR hand when we greet each other. It's the arm that I use to hug my kids. The one I used to cuddle with my fiancée. It's my dominant arm and sometimes I can't even use it. We are all human, we are all individuals, we all struggle through different things, THIS just happens to be mine. This is my most personal fact.
